Background: I grew up in the New Jersey shore area and I have loved fishing since I was a kid. I have been fishing for more than 30 years in the waters of the Manasquan Inlet, and anywhere from New York to Cape May. Fishing tournaments are my passion, and I have participated in numerous local competitions. When it comes to the winnings, one of the most unforgettable ones was catching a 456 lb Mako Shark in Jersey Coast Shark Anglers (JCSA) Mako Tournament in 1995. I am also the president of Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association, RFA, NJOA, and NACO, and a former president of Jersey Coast Shark Anglers. My goal is to make sure that both my guests and my crew have an amazing time while fishing together.
Techniques: I love all types of fishing and use various techniques. From bottom fishing, chumming, and trolling, to live lining, I'll do whatever it takes to put the fish in the box.

Captain Dan and First Mate Tim helped us land this 53” Bluefin! It was an unforgettable experience and we definitely want to go out for tuna again. Not only that, but we landed several squid for both bait and to keep. The Megan Beth had a comfortably-sized deck at the stern to fish from, and a large cabin with sleeping quarters, bathroom, and kitchenette. I took my 3 sons ages 8 thru 13 on a half day charter. We got lucky there were a ton of fish but as soon as it slowed down Captain Dan repositioned the boat to where the bait and stripers were. First Mate Chris worked hard to keep the tackle ready and fresh bait on the lines. Both Dan and Chris worked great with the kids and coached them on how to hook and land a striper. It would have been a good experience even if we didn’t land any fish but we all got to reel in at least 4. Amazing day and... More

I would highly recommend the Megan Beth Sport fishing charter. Captain Dan located nice keeper Seabass on every move all through the day. First Mate Tim was very helpful in making sure we had solid hookups and is an expert fish cleaner. Our group will be returning for another adventure soon.
