Hi Samantha yes it was a tough afternoon we did struggle to catch bait at first and yes the fish were a bit scarce on that afternoon tide too but that is fishing sometimes .we do try our best and we do catch fish .I guess that is why it’s called fishing and not catching however I do like to catch fish as we did on the previous morning session .once again that’s fishing .one thing I will stress is we fish all year round and sometimes especially estuary fishing it’s all about strategy tides moon phases wind barometer lots of things have to line up .the other things you do forget to mention in your review though is the fact I offered to fish longer and try more spots never stopped trying to catch bait and move to different spots through out the session ....but that often happens to get not a mention when your rating the fish activity and fish caught and not so much the effort we do go to….I certainly take all reviews on board to try make our trips great and thank you for yours enjoy the rest of your break here in Cairns cheers Gavin cairns sportfishing
