Alfredo and Nacho kept us laughing all day long….  The troll action was a bit slow, got one small barracuda.  We switched to bottom fishing and the action was fast and furious.  We used sardines for bait and the fish loved them.  My 12 yr old son was having issues setting the hook- so Nacho would help him by setting the hook and let my son reel it in. I really appreciated that the Captains asked us what we wanted to do throughout the day (troll vs bottom fishing).  At the end of the day, my son elected to troll for the remainder because his arms/wrists were tired from reeling up so many bottom fish.  Did we catch our trophy fish: No.  But from we saw, none of the other boats out there were getting anything on the troll either.  Did we have a great time: Yes!!  it was my sons first time offshore fishing and he had a blast.  He said he had fun and would certainly do it again.  If I had to find a negative: The boat-It isn’t exacrly built for comfort. Benches are hard, need to sit on a life vest for a cushion.  it didn’t bother us and might be miserable in rougher seas.  I can see how that might be a deal breaker for some. Recommendation: Bring your catch to CrazyFish in Puerto Morelos just steps away from the pier for them to prepare your dinner.

Captain Luis and Nacho were amazing, and led me (42m) and my 2 sons (13/17) on the trip of a lifetime! Luis let us know the day before our trip that the port was closed on our planned fishing day due to bad weather, but we easily rescheduled for 2 days later and crossed our fingers. Captain Luis was in constant contact and gave us the green light the night before we were ready to go! It was a 4 hour trip, they said the seas would be rough but the fish should be biting. It took about 30 minutes to get out to where they got the lines in the water, and we were fishing! After 30-45 minutes of trolling we got our first bite, my youngest son reeled in a nice sized Mahi Mahi and we were ecstatic. We took some photos, got the lines back in the water and off we went. Another 20 minutes or so and we got our 2nd fish, and as soon as we saw it jump in the distance everyone let out a cheer as we knew we had a trophy on our hands. My oldest and I took turns at the reel, and under the guidance and navigation of Captain Luis and Nacho, about 45-60 minutes later we landed a 91 inch Marlin!! They were as excited as we were about the catch. Unfortunately at that point I was seasick, and we headed back in an hour early, expectations well and truly exceeded. They had the trophy mounting reps waiting on the docks and as we measured and took photos, the little Black Moon was the envy of every boat, large and small, in the port. 10/10 would recommend.

Captain Julio and mate Nacho.  met us at the docks and were ready to give us the best experience.  We went out deep sea fishing on rough seas.  The captain made the trip as smooth as possible and had us on fish first thing. 

Communication between ourselves and the crew was excellent.  The captain is fluent in english.

The boat was in great shape and gear was top notch. 

Many drinks and many laughs. 

We have deep sea fished many times on our visits to Mexico. This by far was one of the best days fishing we have ever had. 

We would recommend Black Moon Charters and Captain Julio to anyone that visits Peurto Morelos area and is looking for a day of fishing.

The Ciprea crew was on point. Both crew members, Nacho and I forgot the other guys name, did everything to get us on fish. They are super cool guys with fishing experience.
The only thing that I dislike about these trips is that they use your fishing time to find bait. I took an hour of driving around before we rn into a school of small sardines. We start ed in deep water and hookup 2 Mahis, unfortunately wasn’t able to get them in the boat. After trying again for Mahi, we decided to head to a reel and bottom fish. Lots of action with a variety of snappers, triggers, porgie, yellow tails. After that we headed into the shallows a trolled fr Cuda. Hooked up right away.
I’ve been fishing for 45 years and wasn’t disappointed with how the crew handled everything. Now, here’s my small gripes. There was no electronics on the boat, no radio, no fares that I can see. The only safety equipment I noticed as life jackets
Overall it was a fun experience. I would recommend Ciprea. The gripes are my own based on 45 years of fishing experience.

Captains Julio and Nacho were amazing.  We caught a Mahi Mahi and numerous groundfish including Yellow Tail Snapper.  We booked this boat because the reviews were so positive. 
Here is one more positive review.  The Black Moon was easy to find at the dock.  We kept to the schedule.  pre departure communication was excellent.  Everything was taken care of.  we enjoyed mahi mahi ceviche and tacos that night.  we are english speakers with a little Spanish.  On boat communication was awesome (safe, entertaining and informative)
