We were met by friendly crew and Capt. Josh. He explained everything to us and went over everything on the boat before we left. Once out on the water it was nothing but tight lines and awesome fishing for the rest of the day. Another plus was after a long day of fishing is that the crew cleaned and prepped the fish so I could just go home and start cooking an awesome dinner.100% recommend southern son. We will for sure be back to try snorkeling and a sunset cruise.

Captain Josh was fantastic! From the super nice equipment to the fish. We were on Blackfin Tuna from the jump on the Hump. Caught fish all afternoon and landed our last tuna just as it was time to head back in. The boat ride in was relaxing and a great way to end the day with some good music to boot. We are already planning our return and next outing with Josh. Thank you for the Poke recipe. We were eating our fresh catch before the sun was down. And Go Vols!

Josh, with Southern Son Charters, is an amazing captain.  We enjoyed our first one so much we book another one the same week.  He is very knowledgeable and our family had a lot of fun catching mahi mahi and yellowtail’s.  We have been on a lot of charters and this truly was the best one ever.  Our family still yells “FISH ON!!”  Can’t wait to go back to Marathon next year.  We will definitely be booking with Josh again!!
