I can’t say enough good things about our trip with Captain Jamie! We had an incredible night bay fishing, from start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and a whole lot of fun! We were in the redfish early and he knew exactly where to go and what they were biting. Steady action and bent rods all night long!
The boat was clean and well equipped, and the gear was top-notch. What really made the trip stand out was Captain Jamie’s attention to all the details and really going out of his way to make sure our son cast in the perfect spots! There were times his bait had barely made it in the water before his line was tight! You could really tell this wasn’t just a job for Captain Jamie - this is someone who loves what he does and sharing it with others.
We actually booked the trip last minute and Captain Jamie was very accommodating, had great communication, and was more than prepared! I can’t recommend this guide enough if you’re looking for a great day or night fishing the bay!

CAPTAIN JAMIE IS THE BEST!!! He puts you on fish, on the first cast, no joke. He knows exactly what’s he’s doing. He’s extremely patient, informative, & knowledgeable. I was running a few minutes behind & he was super understanding/easy going. Boat ride was super smooth. My fav part of the day was him ensuring that i’d catch some bull-reds! WHAT A FUN TIME & ended the tour with a beautiful site with dolphins, it was like straight out of a movie. He went above & beyond to make sure I was going back home with a full cooler to tar fish back to my mama! He never complained even once, when it was blistering hot outside & I was getting crushed by the sun, shoulders lookin’ like a lobster. He’s all smiles & a wonderful personality & sense of humor. We had a pretty good laugh about a fish we thought got away on Memorial Day, but we got it back in the boat, haha!!! He even cleaned the fish for me, no upcharge. This guy rules & he is super affordable. I can’t wait to fish with him again! Thanks, captain!

Captain Jamie goes above and beyond to ensure that his clients have a fun and successful trip. He is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft and I cannot understate how highly I recommend his service to both new and experienced anglers. Captain Jamie is the only angler in the area that I would select for my fishing!

My partner and I booked Captain Jamie for night fishing for our 23rd and 21st bday trip! We had a BLAST! We genuinely had the best night ever. EVERY cast we threw we caught huge reds. We had to have caught over 25 huge fish. We were wore out lol. We also learned so much. Captain Jamie was so willing to teach us and answer all our questions. He thoroughly explained everything, how things happen, why they do, and even fun facts. VERY knowledgeable. You can tell he genuinely loves being on the water, its not just a job for him. It’s a pure passion. He even cleaned our fish at the end and taught us how! His hospitality, equipment, and everything else was TOP TIER. We will absolutely be booking him when we go back to Florida!

Talked with capt Hoover about catching some reds- told him it was one of my bucket list items.  We were scheduled for the am but he asked we come at night to catch the big bulls. Was a little skeptical about going out on the water at night but- safety first. He went thru a checklist of what ifs and what to do if something happened out on the water.  Very impressed with this.  We motored out and caught our slot limit fish within an hr or so.  He then says, let’s go get the big ones.  We put the hammer on the big reds catching 6-7 fish between 33”-36”.  He put us right on the x.  High fives all around and rocked the house back to the ramp.  Didn’t realize he was a veteran until reading the bio tonight.  Appreciate your service sir!  We will be back!
