Captain Mike has got to be the best fisherman I’ve ever had the privilege to fish with. My son and I will never forget this fishing trip. The man knows what he’s doing. Ten minutes after we casted we started reeling in big fish, after an hour we had caught 2 4ft bull sharks and by the time we were done we had reeled in 5 fish total. Thank you for the great time Mike! So if your wanting to catch some sharks and have a good relaxing time, I advise you to call Captain Mike-The Beast In The East

Captain Mike was awesome. Had a trip scheduled for 9am, but the weather didn’t want to cooperate, it poured all morning. Mike communicated with us all morning and was patient enough to hold off till the afternoon to take us out. He knew all the spots to hit. But the highlight was seeing the dolphin about 3 ft from the boat as he was hunting for dinner. Thanks Captain Mike for a great day and a memorable trip. We will definitely recommend and be using Chum em up Charters on our next trip to Punta Gorda.

I had an incredible experience, all thanks to Captain Mike. He truly made everything possible.

It was my last day in the country, and unfortunately, the weather was windy and chilly—not ideal for a fishing trip. But Captain Mike was unfazed. He suggested starting the trip an hour later to let the temperature rise a bit. He expertly navigated through the Punta Gorda canals, choosing routes with maximum wind protection. His knowledge of every corner of those canals was impressive, and it was no surprise that we caught a variety of fish, including sheepshead, mangrove snapper, and even catfish. We also had the opportunity to go for jacks. While they only appeared briefly and we missed that chance, Mike anticipated it and had a rod ready with the perfect lure so we could try our luck.

The experience was fantastic. The sheepshead we caught was absolutely delicious for my family and me. I’ll never forget the taste or the amazing day spent with Captain Mike.

If you have the chance to go out with him, don’t miss it. He’s an incredibly friendly and skilled fisherman who will ensure you have a great time!

Booked 5 hour night fishing, arrived to the dock to insane weather . Went out and Mike still put us on a couple snook. Called it early due to weather , and Cpt Mike said if you can come back tomorrow we’ll slay them.
We did just that, moved our flight back a day and trusted this clearly experienced local fisherman. Worth every penny . We went out at noon the next day and STILL despite rough conditions made it to a spot ONLY a seasoned fisherman would know and started slaying fish. Multiple slot redfish and snook and captain gave us perfect fillets to go at the end of the day . I got my personal best any species fish at over 30 inch snook. Also 5lb + redfish and even some big sheepshead and mangrove snapper.
Amazing experience and i will be back when i come back to Florida to catch some huge snook and tarpon !

My son and I had an absolute blast fishing with Mike. Early into the day, it was obvious the Mike spends a ton of time on the water and knows where the fish are. We caught fish all day long, in every spot we stopped. Fish were biting so well we ran out of bait twice. Shout out to Mike’s buddy for keeping us supplied with bait. Think we refilled three times. Mike busted his butt all day to ensure we had bait on the lines and chum in the water to ensure maximum catch opportunities. Great personality as well, with a day of joking and fun. Caught a crazy amount of Snook, limited out on snapper and had fun fighting several catfish, a couple jacks and a small needlefish. We’ll definitely be going out with Mike again in the future.
