Captain Kolody is not only knowledgeable, but also an excellent teacher. I’ve been fishing for ages, yet I still managed to learn a ton from this Captain. In addition, he’ll make excellent and useful company during your time on his boat. I would recommend him to anyone who reads this post, easily the best fishing trip my father and I have ever been on. We look forward to taking advantage of Captain Kolody and his skillset next year, as should you! Thank you Captain for a great day and a better experience!

Alex was the best. He knew where the fish were hiding and we caught over 75 fish. Rock bass and a few large mouths tossed in. It was a great day thanks to Alex. He taught us a few tricks and he was extremely personable. You can’t go wrong, with Alex as your guide you can’t go wrong.

Full Day trip with Mr. Kolody

Spent a full day trip fishing with Mr. Kolody and my son. In addition to putting us on a lot of great fish, he took the time to give us both tips on fishing and make sure all of our needs were taken care of. Alex provides all of the tackle and is a skilled boat captain. The atmosphere in the boat is professional, but always fun. We have fished many times with Mr. Kolody and the experience is always fantastic. While fishing with Alex my son and I have both caught our personal best largemouth and smallmouth bass as well as personal best in many other species. If you are looking for a guide who can provide a fun day of great fishing look no further.

What's biting with Alex Kolody Guide Services in Rochester

Just like most New York ports, Rochester is all about Salmon fishing in September. It's the perfect time to catch your limit of this amazing fish and have fun doing it. The Trout bite is not slowing down either and, on longer trips, you may be able to go after both.
