Hello I originally picked this company because it’s family owned. I had a feeling that they would take care of me and my family as if I were a member of their own family and they did. We caught fish and had a great time. We used some of their recipes provided by Kevin to have an unbelievable lunch after our trip.  We love sushi and had the goat fish seared and rare… Fantastic! Our trip was Jan 3. Captain Kevin and deckhand Tracy were amazing!  Knowledgeable. Great people and very easy to talk to. The water was unusually rough and they put us on fish for the brief time we were on board. We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for us all. Two of our group were 7 yrs old and the rough water made fishing tough for them. We rescheduled. They are big on putting out a quality experience for families. 99% of the time the waters are nice. Our reschedule was with Captain Kihe and deckhand Mehina. Knowledgeable and easy to talk to as well. We headed out and got to fishing. They know where the fish are and they put us on the fish. Lots of fish were hooked, some were caught,  some got off. We did not keep any, but the offer was there. Snacks and a cold ice box with drinks were available. Good family times and a sunset to top it off! I would definitely look up Ocean Blue Kona again!!! Thank you!!

Went out with me and my 4 boys and had an amazing time! A storm in the morning forced a last minute change to the captain’s normal fishing grounds but he got us out of the storm and into an amazing spot not only for fishing but also for my youngest that was getting a bit sea sick. Everyone on the boat caught multiple fish and the catch we came home with was expertly cleaned and ready to cook! I would recommend 10 out of 10 times to be with such an experienced crew and hope to come back again!!

I also left a TripAdvisor review, as this team is worth every comment. Frankly, the Captain (Kevin) is a great person and surrounds himself with professionals that know what they are doing. My family and I spent half the day fishing and having a great time. (We all caught fish by the way🔥💯🐟🐠🎣)

I would recommend for families, couples, or friends. Worth every penny. These kind of memories are priceless.

Exceptional trip, it met all my expectations. The crew was helpful and they guided you the process from start to finish (including boat safety). We had many different levels of fishing expertise on the excursion and they all loved the experience.  Captain Kevin’s approach to the trip was spot on.  Fun, being on the ocean, seeing whales, and dolphins, and our team had plenty of action.  It was fun fishing for so many types of fish.
