Captain Lance had us reeling in the big red drum creating memories we’ll never forget!….My 10 year son’s first fishing trip and he made sure to give him a day to remember.

Captain Lance was tremendous from the communication before our trip to the day on the boat. Will definitely take another trip with him on our next vacation.

My wife, two young (3 & 8) daughters, and brother-in-law and I went out with Captain Lance and Fran for a 3/4 day trip, and it was amazing!  They met us at the dock at Oregon Inlet, helped get everyone on board and off we went! 

The fishing was slow to start, but they were great with the kids, teaching them about everything we were seeing and helping them enjoy the morning! We ended up catching a couple of fish in the morning and then got to ride right next to a group of dolphin on the way back. My BIL was the big winner, catching some fish after noon, which was perfect for fish tacos for dinner that night!

It was the perfect day and they made it even better by Fran and Lance being so good with the kids. If you are looking for a family-friendly excursion with good people, this is the boat!

We are looking forward to coming back to the beach on our next vacation and booking them again!!

I’ve arranged several fishing trips with Captain Lance of Black Flag Fishing over the last couple of seasons and it’s been BY FAR the best charter experience on the beach, each time. His knowledge of both inshore and nearshore waters is incredible. He knows exactly where to be, when to be there, which fish will be biting, and what tackle and lures to put into action. I actually reeled in personal best speckled trout and red drum while aboard Black Flag last summer—the latter being a 45-inch citation! Captain Lance was also very patient and informative when helping show different fishing techniques along the way. Last but not least, the vessel itself is clean, comfortable, and perfect for small groups that want a more hands-on and personal experience. Book a trip when you can… It’s the best way to see the beauty of the OBX with the added benefit of fishing while you do it!
