Gerard and captain Edgar were both great. It was easy to meet them at the beach and transfer to the boat. Gerard put out 8 different troll lines and 3 hours in we finally caught a big Mahi Mahi. He was very personable and had brought water, beer, juice, pop, chips, fruit, and sandwiches for us to enjoy. It was awesome to watch him filet the fish right in front of us! We kept part of it and cooked in our Airbnb for the next 3 days!

We picked the windiest day of the year and still caught fish. We didn’t have a flexible schedule, so had to fight a very windy day.  After an hour or so a few miles off shore, we decided that the conditions were not safe and returned closer to shore.  We caught 6 decent Mackerel Tuna in 6 hours, including 2 at 1 time.  Hopefully our next trip will have favorable weather and we can try for other species.  Captain Hector and his first mate worked hard for us, made shashimi... Wow, what a trip! Gerard met us promptly at 7:30 in Tamarindo. We loaded up and we were out fiahing within 30-45 mins. Gear was top notch and he was great with my 13 yr old. Most importantly, they put us on the fish! My son had thr fight of his life and we landed a huge ~400lb. blue marlin (Gerard’s estimate….not my fishing story). What an unbelievable experience! Can’t thank them enough! If you’re in the area and want to catch fish, Wired is the outfitter to go with!

This trip was incredible! Best fishing trip that I ever experienced. We saw giant Turtles and big groups of Dolphins which frequently followed the boat, they felt so comfortable being arround us all the time. That alone was priceless. After just observing the marine life for a while, the action started and the fish started biting.
