If you’re ready to go fishing in Tamarindo, book a trip with Wired Sportfishing. With Captain Waco at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Local species include Amberjack, Broomtail Grouper, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Roosterfish, Mackerel, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and more, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 32’ Pursuit sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are supplied for you. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Wired Sportfishing?
