We booked this half-day trip for my son’s 14th birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! Captain Melvin and first mate Christian went above and beyond to make the day special. They were patient, knowledgeable, and kept the energy high the whole time. My son landed his first mahi-mahi and sailfish, which are moments he’ll never forget!

The boat was spotless, the equipment was top-notch, and everything ran smoothly. It was the perfect mix of excitement and fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable fishing experience from Quepos, Costa Rica. 🎣

This was our first deep water fishing trip.  It was me and my 2 sons ( 13-15).  We
did catch 3 small Tuna luckily, the Captain said it wasnt a great day of fishing. 
The crew worked really hard to catch more, trolled through 5/6 different groups of tuna. 
We saw over 500 dolphins, a couple hundred tuna jumping, 5 sea turtles, and a shark.
We all had a blast for our first time out, even though we didnt catch much.

I would recommend this charter 100% to everyone, we will being doing this again!! 

One thing to note, waze will have you go to the marina ( drive past the entrance another 1/2 mile ish )
When trying to find the location, drive past the marina, the road will split and youll see a dirt road that goes straight, the pavement will turn left.  The dirt road will lead you to a gate at the end.  This is the road you want to take, once you get to the end just park on the right side by the fence.  ( I included some pictures ).

Also they did have some soda and water, they also grabbed some sandwiches for us.
We did bring our own water and some snacks just incase.
Footwear is whatever your comfortable in, we wore sneakers just to block our feet from getting burned. 

We fished offshore with Captain Adril and first mate Esteban last week and had an excellent trip. We hooked 4 sailfish and landed three. The fourth went crazy and airborne 30 feet behind the boat and broke off. The crew worked hard to hook every fish that came into our spread. This was a smaller boat but was well equipped. There were plenty of soft drinks, water, snacks and excellent sandwiches. Esteban even cut up an ice cold pineapple for us. This was a great experience for my son-in-laws first offshore trip. I highly recommend Wahoo Sportfishing, Captain Adril and first mate Esteban.

Captain Andrew and mate Greibin were very knowledgable of the fishing grounds from catching bait fish to landing three different species of fish.  This was a very hands-on charter for my wife and myself and extremely happy on the entire trip… from the cold beverages to the mid afternoon, fruit, snacks, and of course, catching snook, rooster, fish, and catfish.  I definitely recommend Wahoo Sportfishing for a day out on the water!

Pura Vida

We are inexperienced fishermen and booked a half day afternoon inshore trip with Captain Melvin’s boat Wahoo and his crew, Adriel and Zachary. We met Captain Melvin at the pier, and had a little trouble finding the right spot - it is not at Marina Pez Vela but keep going down the same road to the very end. Adriel and Zachary did a great job setting us up and we went out and caught four Amber Jack right away. Next we moved to a different spot and caught a Spanish Mackerel. After that, we trolled along the beach and caught two Rooster fish. Had a nice snack with fresh pineapple and then headed back to the dock at 5. We had a great time and really appreciate our crew. Highly recommend the experience and we will book again next time.
