Took my son on a trip with Capt. Matt, the water was a little murkey but he kept us moving and trying to find fish, finally got a few. Slaughtered the crabs. He was very knowledgeable and provided a good trip. We will definitely be booking again.

Well, the day didn’t go as we had hoped since it had stormed earlier in the day and the wind made the water rough and rocky. The sharks wouldn’t cooperate in the intense current so Matt found the best spot to anchor and catch sharks. Matt got us hooked on a couple of sharks and helped us reel them in! My girlfriend didn’t even want to go but ended up having a good time. Matt was a first class guy!  Very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going with him and the charter company again.

Best salt water fishing experience. I done West coast   charter before in San Diego Ca, and I compared this to the many I done there and the two man crew here in Galveston blew them out the water. Level of knowledge of the waters and bait was 5 of 5 Stars. Professionalism and catering to my kids 5 of 5 stars. Boat and Equipment 5 of 5 stars.
Overall great crew is what made the experience 100% these young guns are the future of this Business . Me and my family looking fwd to coming back .

I was supposed to go at 0730 but the day before I received a message asking if I could change it to 1130 because there wasn’t much biting in the morning. I was willing to change because I drove 6 hrs the night before. Also, grateful that they were honest about the fishing in the morning. Was late getting there cuz I got the wrong directions from google. Should’ve read my email that had the correct directions. Finally arrived and we took off. We hit up a couple spots. First spot we weren’t catching anything.  Great experience would highly recommend! I plan on coming back next year and doing it again!

We went on a half day morning charter with Capt. Tanner. We left at 7 a.m. and had our lines in the water by about 7:40. We tried several different spots and with about an hour left, we had our first hit. It was a 32” Red. Once we got it off the hook and in the cooler, we had another bite. This one was quite a fight. When the fish surfaced, it was another Red, only bigger and stronger.. Capt. Tanner did an amazing job helping me with keeping the line from going under the boat as it appeared the Red was trying to go under the boat the cut the line. It took about 10 minutes and the 36” Red was netted and brought into the boat.

While we only caught two fish, they were both keepers. That’s why it’s called “fishing” and not “catching.” Two Red tags, both filled. And to be honest, I wanted to catch a Red more than a shark!

Once back at the dock, Tanner cleaned our Reds and gave us a ton of meat. The best tip he gave me was to marinate the fish in something acidic to remove the gamey taste. I used lemon juice and Italian dressing for about 4 hours.  Later that night, I smoked the filets on my Traeger and they were absolutely amazing!

I would highly recommend this team with Capts. Tanner and Matt for your next charter. And if you would, if you have a great time, like we did,, bring a little extra cash and tip your Captain!
