We went nearshore fishing last year and the trip started fast but ended slow. This year we were hoping for something different. The nearshore water was too rough at the pass so the Captain said we can do inshore, in the bay. I’ve never fished inshore but my response was as long as my son can catch fish we would be good. Over a 4 hour trip we caught 4 fish and kept two.  We ran aground due to the tide moving out and I had to get in the water to help free up the boat. After we returned only one fish was cleaned and we only got half of the filet. As I was paying the final amount I noticed the other filet still on the table. I wouldn’t recommend inshore fishing unless you want to do bass fishing. We have a lake behind our house that we can bass fish in.  Lastly, after we got back to the beach, my son caught 7 fish in 1 hour from the shore with frozen shrimp from Walmart.

Our group was a party 3, we left the marina at 6:30am, in 1-2’ seas. It was a great morning for fishing; the weather was much better than forecast. Capt John was all about fishing and took us straight to the one spot we needed to go to. Initally we had several Sheapshead come off the line but once we figured it out, it was catching not fishing. The boat he captins is smaller but was the right size for what we were trying to accomplish. Capt John was informative and did a great job teaching my (2) 13 year old sons the correct technique.  He was there to make sure we caught fidh and had a good time. He didnt continually look at his phone or move from location to location. We ended up catching 8 nice Sheapshead. When we got back to marina, there was a gentleman who came up to Capt John as he was unloading the fish we caught. Capt John wasnt rude but he didn’t let him interpret the conclusion of our trip. I was impressed when Capt John asked him to wait eventhough the guy who walked up was requesting to be taken out later in the day. It meant a lot he prioritized our trip over jumping to the next customer. I would recommend this trip to others and would do it again myself.

Captain Cade (Kade?) did a great job setting us up for success.  He had everything ready to go before we arrived and was on top of safety + getting us prepped to fish. He picked the best spot he could for the time of day, but unfortunately mid-day trips can be very hit-or-miss. Even though we didn’t manage to snag anything we had a great time. If you’re looking to catch, definitely book a morning/evening trip, but no matter the time of day you’ll be in for a treat.

Wonderful experience! Very knowledgeable and kind. I was a beginner for saltwater fishing, so the captain got me all set up and gave me tips throughout. We would definitely consider this boat and captain for future trips! Our trip (a 3 hour inland) was on a stormy/cloudy summer day in June. We were still able to catch six speckled trout and a bunch of bait type fish like pinhead. We even hooked a few real fighters, but lost them before we got them in the boat. Overall great experience!!!

We went out early morning, our first spot we quickly left and found another where it started slow but picked up fast and over the course of about 1.5 hours we caught about a dozen sheepshead between 2 people. The captain was great everything was tended to. Nice equipment. On the way in we stopped and found some red fish and he made sure we both caught one before we came in. When cleaning the fish he took his time and got all the meat possible and we left with a ton of meat.
