  Full Day Trip - Open Water on September 6, 2026 • 3 adults

  Asked Dustin to come to the lake I live on. My usual spots weren’t productive anymore. He showed me several new spots to try in the spring, summer, fall and winter. He found a great spot and put us on big walleye and some crappies along with a few bass and northerns. The boat and equipment is top notch! We all went home with fish to eat. He even cleans your catch for you! Fun was had by all of us on board! Definitely recommend him to anyone considering a guided trip.

  Excellent Guide and Tons of Fish

  Half Day AM Trip - Open Water on August 21, 2026 • 4 adults • 1 child

  Fantastic experience! Our guide was fully set up, explained everything well, and made the trip especially fun for our son, who had mostly only fished off the dock before. We fished the full four hours, caught around 50 fish, and had a great variety — bluegill, sunfish, bass, crappie, northern, and walleye. We kept 21 crappies and 7 walleye. Great guide, great guy, and a really fun day on the water. We’d absolutely book with him again!

  Great Day with a Great Guide!

  3/4 Day Trip - Open Water AM start on July 26, 2026 • 3 adults

  First, we caught 3.5 lbs of cleaned fish to bring home - yum! Three walleye, nine crappie, a monster rockbass and countless slabs of bluegill. Oh - and a 33.25” Northern. My teen sons and I had a blast - Dustin was super easy going and great to chat with; the banter and dad jokes are endless. Temps were forecasted into a 100+ heat index - so Dustin recommended we start an hour earlier. He immediately dropped us on a big school of walleye and panfish, clearly knowing the area well. All of his gear was in great condition and fully prepped for a long day. He efficiently managed the boat and the anglers, giving great guidance and tips to pick up the catch pace. The live sonar was an awesome feature, helping us really understand what was going on under the water. We learned a ton, left with a bunch of fish and memories, and met a really cool local guide who helped shape some indelible memories! Couldnt recommend him enough!

  ALWAYS A GREAT TIME

  Full Day Trip - Open Water on June 27, 2026

  ive booked many trips with Dustin over the years both open water and hard water fishing. Ive got to say I know he is the best guide in the Brainerd lakes area. He has top of the line equipment all the way from boat down to the hooks he uses for his trips. Also Dustin is very knowledgeable about fish patterns and how fish act during weather conditions. Dustin will do everything he can do to get you on good quality fish but its still up the fish to bite lol Dustin will teach you different techniques how to land fish successfully. Once you hook on to a fish of any size he will walk you through step by step(especially bigger fish) to successfully land it followed up with smiles and fist bumbs. Dustin gets just as excited for his clients to catch fish as you would. If you have younger children Dustin is awesome with them also. Lots of patience and will help 100% for children to be successful too. So recently I asked Dustin to help me with beating my old person best walleye of 24 inches. And let's just say with his help and knowledge we smashed that PB with a big beautiful 28 inch walleye so thanks again Dustin Over all if you are looking to get out fishing and have fun adventure on the water i highly highly recommend Dustin. Hawg Hunterz is the guide service I use and I will be using him for many more fun and exciting trips again. 5 stars is not enough for Dustin.

  Making Memories!

  Full Day Trip - Open Water on June 5, 2026 • 2 adults

  Dustin Monson is a fantastic guide and even a better human being! I spent two days with Dustin and my elderly father fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, and Pan Fish. Dustin was patient and very helpful with my father, even put him on a Muskie and I know I will never hear the end of it! Dustin has fantastic equipment and was proficient in finding fish and keeping us on them. I highly recommend Dustin and hope to see him again on the water soon! Thank you, Dustin.
