I’m not sure it could have gone much better! We booked a 1/2 day Kingfish charter after a few days of unsettled weather, but conditions were perfect for us. A short stop to catch baitfish, quickly and efficiently done, and then on to “the spot”.  A 13kg Kingfish took the bait on first drop, and then a 15kg followed that. Captain Bucko was a pleasure to go out with for half a day in the bay of islands. He is extremely knowledgeable and kind, and got us onto plenty of fish. I left feeling exhausted from all the reeling - something that doesn’t always happen on fishing charters. We got onto some huge kingfish and snapper and I am very happy with the outcome. Highly recommend if you’d like to catch snapper or kingfish, be in good company, and be out on the water!

We had a great time thanks to Captain Bucko. The weather was a bit sketchy so he anchored up in a sheltered spot. Next thing we knew it was raining snapper!

We had a fantastic day on our charter with bucko, he did his upmost to make sure we caught fish and was very knowledgeable. Went out of his way to go to the best spots which caught us to two great fish, which he filleted like a ninja!

Captain Bucko sure knows his stuff. We caught so much snapper I couldn’t believe it and they were of a size I have only seen on tv. Amazing day out and will definitely be booking again next time I’m here.
