Born and Raised on shrimp boats in South Georgia. Fishing has been part of my daily life for 38 years. Transferred to Virginia while in the Navy and haven’t left since. I have been fishing the Chesapeake Bay for 20 years and have had great success. I truly enjoy sharing the craft and my knowledge of the water with other anglers.
Techniques
I prefer jigging and live bait fishing as well as sight fishing using live and artificial baits. Shark fishing is also a passion of mine, with numerous sharks landed 10 feet in length or longer.

8ft Male Bull shark caught Weighed 195lbs dressed. This guy had a mouth big enough to take your leg off. Using stingray for bait, we set up in one of out favorite locations. It didnt take long we were hooked up. As soon as we moved the drag up to strike and set the hook this fish peel off About 400 yards of line from our penn International 30 visw and we knew we hooked something special We fought this fish for approximately 25 mins at full drag and the shark gave us an opportunity to get the head rope on and end the battle. processed nearly 100lbs of meat from this shark most of which went to local families for free. Todays trips was great! We started the day with a 10.2# sheepshead followed by some delicious whiting, when the tide shifted we trolled for spanish mackerel and found them and some bluefish with the largest Spanish Mackerel being just shy of citation length at 23โ€. The fishing only gets better from here.

Typical for this time of year the fishery is heating up with great catches bottom fishing and trolling lures. Our customers have enjoyed a steady bite and fish in the coolers. Its only going to get better from here as the water temperature increases.
