We have been having a blast going after Atlantic Bonito which are only here for a short time usually April/May as they migrate north. Not to be confused with the Bonita aka little tunny, or false albacore, which is a strong meaty tasting fish. The Atlantic Bonito is a prized eating fish. They are known for their firm, dense, and sweet-tasting meat, which is delicious when prepared sashimi, grilled, or baked. Our morning trips have been especially productive bringing in all you can handle Atlantic Bonito, blues and spanish. Come get em while theyre still here!

Fall fishing is here and we are ready for it! Weโ€™ve had great fishing offshore targeting Amberjacks, king mackerel and barracuda. Inshore the spanish are coming in the boat as well. Our latest trip even included a citation Amberjack weighing in at 52lbs

Weโ€™ve been knocking the Amberjack out of the park now that tropical storm Debby has moved out! We had a great trip recently but still has to pay the tax man as seen in the 1/2 Amberjack above. Hopefully thatโ€™ll keep is paid up for the foreseeable future!

The spanish mackerels have been hit or miss lately due to hotter water temps with morning trips having the best luck at finding the bite. Offshore the Amberjacks are still plentiful and putting up that classic amberjack fight! Barracudas have been coming in the boat more and more as the season heats up. Book your trip today! We just listed a special one day only American Red trip for July 12th which is the only day in NC that this fish can legally be caught and kept. We can only run one so if thats something youre interested in dont wait- book now!

The jack fishing has been on fire lately with most trips catching their limit quickly and spending the remainder of the day trolling for king mackerel, barracuda, ect. The spanish are biting especially on morning 1/2 day trips. We are excited for the upcoming fathers day weekend and spending it on the water in Carolina Beach!
