Techniques: My favorite styles of fishing are spinfishing and casting, although I appreciate a top water take on a dry fly. Summer Lake Trout and Salmon Trolling is also a great time! Fall and spring fishing is primarily drift fishing for salmon and steelhead with floats. Ice fishing we primarily jig on lake superior and inland lakes.

Lake trout the cheeseburger of the trout, delicious and tasty. 3 of 4 species of this fish has a bright orange, light tangerine or red color flesh. The hite has been good and occasionally we get a bonus salmon or tainbow trout. Sept and October are going to be great this season on lake superior.

Lake trout, Salmon and Steelhead on Lake Superior out of Marquette Michigan have entered their summer rythem, the lake is cool and the bite is hot! A quick nearshore trip is just 5 hours and has consistently paid off. Our new 21 foot Lund Tyee has settled in and has customers reeling them in with a few extra to spare.

Inland Walleye and Pike Foshing has been great the last week, temps are on the rise and fish are moving into their summer pattern. Catch and release is common for this trip and catches range from 20-30 fish a day. Jigging, casting, or trolling are all techniques used on this 5 hour morning or evening charter.

River Steelhead Fishing has been Great

The Steelhead Fishing this season has been Awesome, lots of great catches! Hiking Miles of Superior Streams or Staking out large runs of fish targeting Trophy Steelhead. The Run is expected to continue through May 15th.

Inland Lake bite is Hott right now.

Fishing for Pike and Walleye has been good, with a few bonus perch and crappie. The fishing has been catch and release only but we have been averaging 25-30 fish a trip.

Had an awesome time fishing Lake Superior with MQT Adventures! The captain was great from start to finish and had us on fish quickly. We caught several fish throughout the trip and had a blast doing it. You can tell the captain knows Lake Superior and knows exactly what he’s doing. We had a great time with Mike and caught 10 huge trout. He’s knowledgeable about every aspect of fidhing snd we had three lines dropped at all times. He took us to the best spots on Lake Superior out of Marquette. Mike was fun, played good music and cleaned all of our catch. we were thrilled and would mist highly recommend this trip!

We had a lot of fun fishing with Mike. He made sure to walk us through the proper techniques to have the best chance at catching fish, which was really appreciated! If the fish weren’t biting in the spot we were at, he moved us to a new one so we had the best chance at success. We were the only ones out on the lake, which made it even more fun. My husband reeled in a 30” pike on the first cast! We had a great time and would definitley recomend Mike to others.

We took our 12 year old grandson out on his first charter fishing trip ams Captain Mike was great teaching our grandson what to do and not to do to be able to land the fish he put us on.
