Background: I have been a fisherman since I can remember, but charter fishing offered an opportunity to earn a living while doing something I enjoy. After 41 years, it is still as exciting as it was when I first started it. I was lucky enough to have a client catch the current state record for Coho Salmon in 1999, which is 26 pounds, 2 ounces. I look forward to breaking the record again sometime in the future.

It was my brother’s 50th bday weekend, so six of us joined in this experience. Mike was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We caught some pretty large fish and had a GREAT time! We took our 4 boys (8-12 yo) and Capt Chris couldn’t have been more patient answering their questions and letting them help with the gear. Fish weren’t super active but managed to nab 2 big trout. The boat and gear were in good shape. I would definitely book with them again.

I very much appreciate you mentioning that the boys were treated with courtesy and patience, as well as noting the condition of the boat and gear. Given that the weather was going to be uncooperative, Captain Mike contacted us the day prior to let us know. We chose to cancel our trip and not take the chance of having bad weather. Very much appreciate him being honest and forthcoming with information. We will definitely re-book next summer. We did take a charter with Captain Mike in June of 2021 and had a fantastic time.
