Randy, first I want to thank you for your service to our great country.  I am shocked by your review!  I use star rods and canyon reels which are used by most guides in chokoloskee.  My reels are set up to cater to young kids which I get a lot.  So I try to rig my tackle as kid friendly as possible.  Apparently you did not like that and I immediately gave you a different rod and reel.  My Canyon reels are less than a year old and yes I always use mono.  None of my reels malfunction as they are practically brand new.  I use new owner hooks 3/0 for every trip along with jig heads with swing tails.  I also kept a popping cork rig along with a bottom rig for you and your brother all day and gave you extra time. You caught two upper slot trout and a jack on a very windy day which I filet and you took home.  I take pride in my work as i haveI 114 five star reviews out of key largo and 14 five star reviews out of chokoloskee.  You gave me a very generous tip which to most captains is indicative of a good day.  Thank you for your tip.  I wish that next time you book a trip that you are honest and truthful about your experience because everything that you wrote for mine is a **hidden content** captains take pride in our work and reviews are our livelyhood.
