Captain Mason was fantastic! The weather conditions were questionable, but he was willing to take us out anyway. We lucked out and the clouds cleared up and it was a beautiful afternoon. Captain made sure we set up on several different spots and we started reeling em in! Caught some catfish, big redfish, some big bluefish, and even a shark! Super fun trip, highly recommend!

Our 3 hour Bay fishing trip for kids was the perfect experience for our first time ocean anglers. Captain Mason’s boat was plenty of room for our family of 5 and he knew exactly where to find the schools of redfish. Plenty of memories made and would recommend Captain Mason for any of his other fishing adventures with how well our adventure went!

Can’t say enough good things about Cpt Mason and 9 Hooks Fishing Charters.  Mason was flexible, accommodating, and determined to ensure that we had the best time possible.  Great boat; fully outfitted, capable, and comfortable on a day with some chop. More importantly, Mason was attentive to the kind of fishing we were looking for and ensured that we got on the fish.  Lots of action and enough keepers for one heck of a meal that evening.  Cannot recommend highly enough!

I’ve done an handful of charters from different places on the gulf. Let me start by saying this is the best charter we have ever done. The captain was extremely knowledgeable about the water, he was also very fun and had the best personality. He had all the right gear and also had a different selection of tackle to use depending on the situation. If any of you guys want to have a good time fishing this is your guy! Captain Mason and Brady were excellent with our 5 and 9 year old. On the first cast we caught a fish and that was just the start of a great day. Waves were a little larger than forecasted but he was able to accommodate us by moving closer into shore and we still had a great experience. Afterwards we took our catch to be prepared at Hunt’s on St. Joe Bay.
