Captain Mason gave my family an experience they’ll never forget. He was extremely patient with my kids and also made it a lot of fun for them. Captain Mason was fantastic! The weather conditions were questionable, but he was willing to take us out anyway. We lucked out and the clouds cleared up and it was a beautiful afternoon. Captain made sure we set up on several different spots and we started reeling em in! Caught some catfish, big redfish, some big bluefish, and even a shark! Super fun trip, highly recommend!

We had a ball with Captain Mason on our half day trip in St. Joseph Bay.  We told him we wanted to go after reds and after reds we went.  He put us onto fish in a variety of areas in the bay and was extremely helpful in instructing us on technique and explaining his fishing strategies. We caught our limit and had a hell of a good time doing so.

Guide was transparent about when fish were biting and recommending we change from a morning trip to an afternoon trip.  Was a bit apprehensive due to the afternoon heat but we are glad we listened to him.  We caught LOTS of fish - redfish, trout, lady fish and of course - catfish.  We had a great time and enjoyed a wonderful meal that night!

Can’t say enough good things about Cpt Mason and 9 Hooks Fishing Charters.  Mason was flexible, accommodating, and determined to ensure that we had the best time possible.  Great boat; fully outfitted, capable, and comfortable on a day with some chop. More importantly, Mason was attentive to the kind of fishing we were looking for and ensured that we got on the fish.  Lots of action and enough keepers for one heck of a meal that evening.  Cannot recommend highly enough!
