Luck O' the Irish has over 20 years of experience in all types of fishing. From Sand Bass, Stripers, Hybrids, Crappie and Catfish. We pride ourselves in our extra 'Fish' senses knowing the habits and whereabouts of our catch. There's many tricks of the trade and we're apt to share with you to make sure you, our guests, have an enjoyable time and catch your fill while your at it. We pride ourselves in our teaching trips if that is what you are looking for we don't hold back any information you may need to be successful on your own. We are family owned and operated and encourage family trips and events because that's how we grew up. A day on the lake with Dad or Mom makes for great family time and builds a lifetime of great fish stories about the one that didn't get away.

    Absolutely AMAZING

    Full Day Trip PM • 2 adults

    Captain Omar was fantastic to be out onthe water with he was first straight forward easy going personality. He was very knowledgeable on our target species of fish and stayed focused on giving us the best possible experience while not taking short cuts. Captain Omar dicussed with us our ideal outcome for the trip and did everything in his power to make it happen we set an ideal size limit on the fish we wanted to catch and he worked his way around the lake to make sure we were catching th fish we wanted to cather. OVERALL 10/10 experience HIGHLY RECOMMEND as we look for to booking with him again.

    Half Day Trip (PM) • 4 adults

    Had an another great day on the lake with Omar. Everyone on the trip enjoyed the time on the water together and Omar’s sense of humor. We caught a lot of white bass, some yellows and my kid brother even hauled in a nice cat! We’ve since traded pictures of the fried and charcoal grilled goodness! Omar has expert knowledge of the lake, the target species of fish and methods that work! He put us on fish and guided us on timing and retrieves for the maximum opportunity to increase our catch. Hope to return on another men’s day out in the future. Thanks Omar!

    Captain Don is a Great Teacher and Awesome Guide

    Half Day Trip • 3 adults

    I was impressed how Captain Don patiently answered every question we had and he also put us on a lot of fish (38 sand bass, 1 big catfish I couldn’t get in the boat, and 1 big crappie). He also told us some great stories and overall made the whole adventure fun. I would definitely recommend this tour.

    awesome time fishing with family

    Capt. Omar is awesome. My family never had luck fresh water fishing but the Luck O' The Irish changed that. My wife, I and our three kids range from 23 to 9 all had great time with Capt. Omar. I really appreciate his expert knowledge of the lake and how he was able to continue finding fish and be fun even when the trolling motor bracket broke. Looking forward for next opportunity to fish with Capt. Omar. Highly recommend!!

    Captain Don did a fantastic job of putting us on the fish. Don did a great job explaining all of the fishing techniques and equipment to my son and I (a couple of fishing newbies). we stopped counting after 60 sand bass. We had a lot of keepers but were doing catch and release. From start to finish the experience the whole trip was easy and informative. Hreat fun and memories!

William brought out all his family to fish with Captain Omar and boy was it a great day of catchin'! Lots of big fish put in the boat and personal bests caught. A mix of trolling artificial baits and natural baits did it for this wonderful family.

Three Generation Trip

What a delight it is to hear a father, daughter, and granddaughter tell funny fishing stories of the years they have spent together. As a guide it is rewarding to be able to help them make more happy memories. The fish at Lake Grapevine are cooperating but they have been making us work for it. Time with family is precious.
