Captain made the trip great!  He is great with children that ask too many questions and he narrates while setting up the equipment, bait, etc.  We are from K.S. , do not have experience Sea fishing and I learned a ton in our short 4 hours. The group after us last minute cancelled and the Captain even spent extra time with us filleting the catch, taking photos and chatting #probono

If you want a luxury booze cruise there are other options but if you want to learn about fishing, baiting, what speed to trawl to catch certain fish, have fun and most importantly actually catch fish, I can highly recommend this Charter.

Had a great trip out with Chris, he put us on some big Wahoo, king fish, and barracuda. He was very nice and accommodating with our request. Definitely a great all around experience. He even fileted the fish for us right there. We walked down the dock to the restaurant and had our catch cooked for us minutes after we got off the boat. Definitely a trip to remember. Even went home with some tips and tricks to improve my fishing at home.

We had a great time this morning with Captain Chris. We told him the day before that we weren’t interested in trophy fish, but we really wanted to catch our dinner. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to be around. We were inexperienced, but that was not a problem at all. Chris took care of everything. We caught 7 fish all over 10lb. 3 Kingfish and 4 Bonita. It was just me and my adult son, so we took turns reeling them in. It was a workout!
There is a restaurant at the marina that will cook your catch for you if you want. We are going to cook ours at our rental. We have enough for multiple meals so I will try it a few different ways.

  With Mother Nature throwing a curveball on this trip with rough seas, 20+mph winds and an idiot client who packed bananas for the trip, Fishing Envy carried on making this a very successful charter.  Our goal was to catch our dinner and that is exactly what we accomplished with some extra to freeze.  When our first hookup broke off, Captain and First Mate immediately asked if anyone packed bananas!  I confessed to the sin and quickly did a burial at sea for the pair of bad luck carriers.  One would think that a Navy Sailor of 10 years would know better.  With the removal of the curse, hookups picked up again.  Although only one fish was boated, Captain Rob expertly filleted the Mahi that served 12 for dinner that night.  Fresh fish might be a bit pricy but well worth the cost and effort.  Thank you, Captain Rob and First Mate Luke, for a family adventure that will always be a topic at future dinners.
