Hi, Bob, we are terribly sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience fishing with us. I would like to address the issues you had a problem with so you can better understand how offshore charter fishing in our area works. First of all, we totally agree that in freshwater trolling speeds need to be very slow, but when we go deep sea trolling it is a totally different story. We trolled 5-8 knots during your charter. If you ask any local experienced charter boat, they will all tell you they troll dead baits and lures at the same speeds when targeting wahoo, sailfish, Mahi Mahi, tuna, etc….This is simply the way it is done. The fish just weren’t biting on the troll that day. I’m assuming you didn’t do any research before this review or else you would have realized this. Also the second picture you posted in this review was while we were on our way in from fishing, not while we were actually fishing?! I don’t think it was fair to post this misleading photo. Also you said you didn’t catch anything? You must have forgot about the 20” grouper and 14” triggerfish you caught when we decided to slow the boat down to go bottom fishing? You literally said in this review you “caught nothing”. I do not think that it is fair for you to lie in a review that affects our business. We literally switched tactics for you when the trolling wasn’t working and you caught fish. Do you think this is OK? In reference to your comment that you were calling Captain Robert “Bob”...don’t you think it is fair enough that he doesn’t want to be called Bob? His name is Robert and everyone calls him Robert. He also said he had a nice lunch with you before the trip and you seemed to be happy as can be. Captain Robert is one of the nicest people you will ever meet BTW. I hope I cleared up some things for you here. Our crew is baffled by your comments. I hope that anyone reading this will understand that a review like this is very harmful to our business, and should only be considered if you plan on telling the truth about what happened.

We would love to hear your feedback. Most of our reviews are 5 star so we are always curious as to what it was that took a star away from a charter? You guys caught a giant sailfish and a few bonitos despite slow fishing for the rest of the charter fleet that day. Please let us know!

Hmmmm….I’m so sorry the fish weren’t biting good that day, but our dedication and hard working crew are what give us the high ratings, reputation, and reviews. Sometimes we catch a ton of fish, and some days we can’t even get a bite. On your trip we caught a nice mahi mahi, a kingfish, and a bar jack. There were 9 charter boats that went out of boynton inlet that day and 8 of them did not catch a single fish. I would like anyone reading this to understand that it is not fair to give our charter operation a poor rating due to the fish not biting that day. We have the best equipment, bait, lures and crew available but sometimes we just can’t make the fish get hungry. After all the hard work and preparation we put into your trip, it is a punch in our face to downgrade our rating because the fish weren’t biting. We work 14 hour days behind the scenes preparing for each and every trip, and the bottom line is that some days the fishing is hot and some days it is not. If you had gone on any other charter boat at our marina that morning you would have got skunked.
