- Background
- Fishing and spearfishing have always been my passion. Although I love fighting a fish of a life time, I have come to find out it is much more enjoyable helping someone else achieve that same goal. Especially when you hear that blistering run of a nice Wahoo on light tackle.
- Techniques
- I offer deep sea fishing less than a mile offshore, where the seafloor drops off to over 1000ft. We troll this drop-off in search of big game such as wahoo, mahi-mahi, blue marlin, yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna. When the current is right and the tuna are stacked up in one area another great way is to drift and chunk some baits to them. Great technique that definitely gets their attention when theres a lot of chum in the water. I also offer Daytime Sword fishing which is essentially fishing for Swordfish during the daytime. Typically it was a nighttime fishery, but with modern technology such as braided fishing line, high speed and electric reels we have been able to find these gladiators of the sea during the daytime. In the day the are usually on the bottom searching for prey. This is when the use of braid and electric reels comes into play. You must drop your bait all the way to the bottom to get it in the strike zone and hang on!
