He has sportfished and commercially fished all his adult life. Capt. Ron enjoys seeing the thrill of a new person catching their first fish and anglers catching their personal best. His favorite species of fish to catch is Striped Bass. The captain fishes for it year-round.

8/26/25 Tuesday Today we had a full day charter. We started our day with a chum line and boiling bass. We got what we needed and went looking for some bottom grabbers. We hit a few spots to make a catch. We changed modes and locations and made a couple of drifts before we had a โ€œmiracle driftโ€ that left us one short of what we needed. We made a short drift for 10 minutes and finished with a crew fish and irritating incidentals. Paul, Thanks for the charter! See you next year Captains Ron & Hunter

8/23/25 Saturday Today we had a bachelor trip. The guys wanted to catch fish , so we did our Captainโ€™s choice trip. Our day started with stripers. We got what we needed and the went out the gate looking for some biters. The bottom grabbers bit very well , we got โ€˜em done on both before the Mal de Mer started to show its ugly face. 8/24/25 Sunday Today we had some new guests aboard. We had a time limit as we were on a half day. We stated our day with a slow pick at the stripers. We caught enough for a sampling and then went for the bottom fish. The bottom grabbers cooperated and we were soon on our way to get them back and on the road. Andrew, Thanks for the charter! 8/11/25 Monday Today we had a new charter for a half day on the bay. We started our day with a decent pick of the bass. We made a couple of moves and picked until we got what we needed. We then went angling for more variety, even seeing a few Casperโ€™s, only to hook a few shakers flatties. Richard, Thanks for trying the Nautilus! We look forward to our next adventure. 8/10/25 Sunday Today we had a repeat charter out for a full day. We started our day with biting bass. We had what we needed in a very short time. We ran out the gate and had much improved weather since Friday. We thought we were going to have an easy time catching, the fish had other ideas. We had to pick at them but got it done with a few lings thrown in. We ran to the halibut grounds and caught a flatty before the buzzer went off. Zhicheng, Thanks for the charter!
