First off this was a very special trip that my friend and I wanted to take my niece Shannon on. Her father, who passed away last October, used to take her fishing as a child, and she really misses him.
  When researching Lake Erie fishing charters, besides the great reviews, best price, for another unknown reason, Riptide just stood out for me.
  I now understand what that reason was. The Captain Jamie and his ‘fun’ first mate 13 year old son James were very knowledgeable, kind and patient with us. Especially ‘so wonderful and helpful’ to Shannon, that on our way back to shore she became very sentimental and cried, almost had all of us in tears, including Captain Jamie. She appreciated James help so much, that besides our tip, she gave him a special extra all on her own. We had the greatest time and limited out. Just so much fun

Captain Jamie was professional right from the time of booking.  He was very accommodating and able to reschedule the trip due to weather. Boat had everything u could need including a toilet.  Drove from Canada and definitely worth the 4 hour drive and every penny spent.  First mate James worked hard the whole time and truly one of a kind.  We caught our limit in fish in 3 hours and caught a whopping 10 pound walleye.  What a great day and memories to last a lifetime.  If you are looking to go out on a charter, look no further.  Book Riptide you wont be disappointed.  Enjoy the rest of your summer Captain Jamie and first mate James.

Awesome experience with Jamie and James. We heard before we left that some people were struggling to get walleye but Jamie and James worked hard to get us on some fish and were able to get many in the boat! I would recommend Riptide to anyone looking for a great fishing experience.

Had a sat full day trip planned but canx due to wx. Jaime was very accommodating and was able to get us out on Sunday instead. Caught a four person limit pretty quickly!  Both captain and mate were very efficient and effective working the boat and gear. Jaime’s 35 plus years of experience on Lake Erie is very apparent and is a blessing. Highly recommend Riptide, he knows his fishing!

This was the first time ever we did something like this and I researched and chose Riptide..I was hoping I made the right decision and yes I did! Everything I was hoping for came true with this experience.  Captain Jamie was amazing and so great with the 3 boys, the kids couldn’t stop talking about it and he whole way home and that was a car ride at midnight.  Definitely will be back
