  Fishing with Captain Jorge

  Full Day Trip on September 12, 2026 • 2 adults

  The meeting point was supposed to be in front of Coco’s. That’s not entirely accurate. The meeting place is the same water taxi that services every boat in the bay. Get your feet wet and get the day started without waiting on the captain to come escort you. Today’s goal was Roosterfish. Same story today as it has been for the last 9 years. I failed to put a roosterfish in the boat. The crew did their best but my nemesis eleuded me again. Trolling time!Captain Jorge and Chris put in everything they had to find a fish that wanted to be our friends but every effort turned up the same results; no fish. Bottom fishing time! Snapper come fast and furious and the tile fish were a nice addition but we were all determined to put a trophy fish in the boat so we set out to troll some more. Turns out, the fish in Playa Herradura like the teasers more than the actual bait. After a long day on the water I can confidently say that the captain and crew of the Snook through everything they had at a long day of fishing and although no trophies were landed, suitable tasty species found their way onto the boat. Pura Vida!

  3/4 Day Trip on June 28, 2026 • 4 adults

  We had a fantastic time from the moment we were picked up from the beach and stepped foot onto the boat, to the final moment walking away with about 25lbs of perfectly fileted fish. Jorge and Enrique were both phenomenal, highly skilled and knowledgeable, and very personable (and had great jokes!) Jorge even took the time to explain the boat's navigation and fish finder, and was highly knowledgeable to all questions we had. The cooler with beers, sodas, waters and sandwiches were a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. Great music, beautiful views, great company, and overall, an unforgettable experience!

  Great crew & tons of fish!

  Half Day Trip (AM) on June 14, 2026 • 4 adults • 2 children

  Captain Jorge and First Mate Enrique were top notch! We couldn’t have asked for a better day! We caught a ton of fish and not a lot of downtime, as they were on the fish all morning. The crew looked after our kids (7 & 11) and made sure to go after some smaller ones so the little kiddos could real them in too. Snacks and cold drinks the entire trip as well. Enrique filleted all of our fish on board and handed us a bag when we departed. When we got back on the water taxi after the trip the entire boat was jealous as to how much fish we brought back. This has to be one of the best and most affordable trips in the area, highly recommend!

  Best captain ever!

  3/4 Day Trip on May 31, 2026 • 4 adults

  Jorge and Enrique were amazing. 15 minutes in we caught a yellowfin tuna. Was slow after that for a couple hours and Jorge got news of fish 6 miles away and took us for an extra hour. Unfortunately didnt catch anything there but a couple hours later we landed a 110lb sailfish. No activity after that and were slightly disappointed as only 2/4 of us landed fish. As we were heading back Jorge thought he spotted a school of mahi and out of nowhere we turned towards it and everybody landed fish. We ended with 1 yellowfin a sailfish and 5 mahi. Truly the best captain we could’ve gotten. Very accommodating good snacks (amazing sandwhiches) and hospitality. Best captain ever!

  Jorge I continue to fish with you and you continue to bring better and better experiences. Jorge will make a fist timer a fisher pro and a experienced angler godlike. I have fished with him over the years and he stills goes after the biggest and baddest to take home so you don't eat chicken 😂....But yeah great at what he does. He has plenty of refreshments and foods to make sure you are good but I can keep talking forever to tell you how great he is... But book him because he is the one 🏆...
