Captain Jorge and his mate made a great day for us. We were hoping to do some trolling for billfish and then switch to hopefully catch ourselves something to eat for the rest of our trip. We got out early and within the first hour we hooked into a blue marlin! I’m certain we would have caught more billfish if that marlin hadnt taken my fat ass nearly an hour and a half to get to the boat. Thankfully the boys stepped in for a break or two.

Captain Jorge has a network of buddies on the radio and shortly after making our decision to go chase some yellowfin, he had us on a school and it was nonstop action pulling them out of the water when we got to them fornthe rest of the trip. We stopped for shishimi on the way home. Amazing!

All said, the experience was everything we hoped it would be. The boat was comfortable with plenty of space and plenty of rods. The snacks and drinks on board were plentiful and tasty.

10/10 totally recommend these guys.

Captain Jorge and his mate, Enrique, did an exceptional job putting me and my family on fish. He quickly saw the billfish were not active and took us am extra 20 miles out to find yellowfin tuna.  He was in constant communication with fellow captains to locate the fish and put us on four great tuna. we landed three with the largest estimated around 90 lbs.  They took good care of us too, providing dramamine to one family member who got seasick.  Definitely would hit the water with Jorge again.

My son and I chose the seven hour trip, which gave enough time to get in about five hours of fishing once we reached the captain’s targeted location.  In that five hours we trolled and caught three sailfish and four dorados - and missed a few strikes. Captain Jorge was very pleasant and informative, and definitely knew where to go. First mate Enrique did an excellent job of setting up the lines, getting the dorados into the boat, holding the sailfish for photos then releasing them, and quickly cleaning the fish that were kept.

Planned a trip to Costa Rica to catch yellow fin tuna and Snook fishing chart didn’t disappoint. Great team big shoutout to the captain Jorge and his deck hand Enrique those guys were awesome and very well experienced. So please don’t be discouraged if the morning is slow be patient captain Jorge will find them. Our morning was slow but man! Our thrill started around 12:30 1pm so many Tuna jumping out the water didn’t have the strength to catch them all haha. Definitely recommend. Went fishing with Captain Jorge out of Herradura on April 23. We went off shore targeting sail fish and he did not disappoint we landed two beautiful fish both around 6’6” and around 120lbs. We may have been the smallest boat out there being surrounded by several large sport fishing boats but we were certainly producing. Jorge and his first mate had quality equipment and knew the proper techniques. They kept their eye on the ball and made it a memorable outing. We then tried inshore for roosters but did not hook up but hey that’s fishing.

As an experienced fishing guide myself I would recommend fishing with captain Jorge.
