Snook Sportfishing and Captain Jorge Fernandez believe you deserve nothing but the very best. They offer all sorts of trips for any breed of anglers, from a couple of hours pulling up something tasty to a full offshore extravaganza.

Capt. Jorge operates a 28' fishing machine built by Game Fisher in 2008. This fast boat comes powered by twin 115 HP Yamaha engines and has plenty of space for up to 4 guests, the captain, and his deckhand.

The vessel is well-equipped for a productive day on the water. It features a small toilet, 2 coolers, top-notch electronics, and a livewell loaded with bait. On your day out, it will be equipped with quality rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait suitable for your type of fishing.

Snook Sportfishing departs from the Herradura Bay and heads out to the most productive spots and honey holes in the area. You will be able to explore the waters along the coast or 25 miles offshore and even head up to 40 miles out if necessary.

Your techniques for the day will vary from light and heavy tackle fishing to trolling, jigging, spinning, bottom fishing, and popping. With Sailfish, Marlin, Snapper, Tuna, Grouper, and Mahi Mahi all among the popular catches, it's hard to resist a trip or two!

The crew will cover your fishing licenses and pack some snacks or light lunch. Shorter trips include pineapples and watermelons, while the longer ones will have sandwiches on board. Plus, all keeper fish will be cleaned at the end of the day to get your dinners sorted out!

Unforgetable Experience
3/4 Day Trip on June 28, 20264 adults

We had a fantastic time from the moment we were picked up from the beach and stepped foot onto the boat, to the final moment walking away with about 25lbs of perfectly fileted fish. Jorge and Enrique were both phenomenal, highly skilled and knowledgeable, and very personable (and had great jokes!) Jorge even took the time to explain the boat's navigation and fish finder, and was highly knowledgeable to all questions we had. The cooler with beers, sodas, waters and sandwiches were a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. Great music, beautiful views, great company, and overall, an unforgettable experience!

Great crew & tons of fish!
Half Day Trip (AM) on June 14, 20262 adults2 children

Captain Jorge and First Mate Enrique were top notch! We couldn't have asked for a better day! We caught a ton of fish and not a lot of downtime, as they were on the fish all morning. The crew looked after our kids (7 & 11) and made sure to go after some smaller ones so the little kiddos could real them in too. Snacks and cold drinks the entire trip as well. Enrique filleted all of our fish on board and handed us a bag when we departed. When we got back on the water taxi after the trip the entire boat was jealous as to how much fish we brought back. This has to be one of the best and most affordable trips in the area, highly recommend!

Best captain ever!
3/4 Day Trip on May 31, 20264 adults

Jorge and Enrique were amazing. 15 minutes in we caught a yellowfin tuna. Was slow after that for a couple hours and Jorge got news of fish 6 miles away and took us for an extra hour. Unfortunately didnt catch anything there but a couple hours later we landed a 110lb sailfish. No activity after that and were slightly disappointed as only 2/4 of us landed fish. As we were heading back Jorge thought he spotted a school of mahi and out of nowhere we turned towards it and everybody landed fish. We ended with 1 yellowfin a sailfish and 5 mahi. Truly the best captain we could've gotten. Very accommodating good snacks (amazing sandwhiches) and hospitality. Best captain ever!

Captain Jorge of the Snook stands up to his reputation
Full Day Trip on February 10, 20264 adults

Captain Jorge and his first mate, Enrique didn't dissapoint. We headed out 25 miles looking for some sail fish. They were a little hard to find this week, so we quickly transitioned to tuna and they got us in the fish quickly. We chased schools and they found them. Ended the day with 4 in the boat, including one that took almost an hour to land, lost several others and had five break off. This man knows what he is doing and works hard to put you on fish. By the time we headed back, we were 45 miles out. We had a great time.

Another amazing Trip with Snook Sportfishing
3/4 Day Trip on March 24, 20262 adults2 children

This is our second time fishing with Captain Jorge, and we will definitely be booking him again next time we come down to Costa. The Captain and crew are very professional, and go out of there way to make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time. Most importantly, these guys can fish! We landed one Sail and lost another (my fault) plus we also caught 6 Yellowfin Tuna and had fresh sashima for the ride in. It was a perfect day on the water and we look forward to next year.
