- Background
- I Started fishing when I was around 3 years old with my father and from then on went fishing every weekend mostly at Calaveras and Braunig Lake and some coastal fishing until I graduated high school. At 8 years old I decided that I wanted to be a captain and take people fishing when I grew up. Every fishing magazine that came out my parents had to go buy it for me and I would read it multiple times front to back so I could be the best fisherman I could possibly be. Then I Went to college for a partial semester but skipped school to go fishing everyday. Then decided to become a commercial fisherman at 19 years old eventually becoming at full time fishing guide at 25 years of age. Now I’ve been in news papers, magazines, radio talk shows, broken multiple lake records and a couple state records. My sons first fish was the youth lake record redfish at 5 years of age and shortly after got my daughter the youth record blue catfish at the age of 9. Fishing has always been my passion and now my passion is getting other people on fish and watching the excitement in their faces.
