Lisa, apologize that we did not meet your customer expectations and a 4 hr fishing trip ruined your entire vacation.  Since, this was your first fishing experience I don’t think you can accurately review in such a negative way.  Your group caught other species, such as triggerfish, cigar minnows and Bonita.  However, not all were in season to take home.  Whenever the boat was moving we were trolling to maximize fishing for you and pricilla, Tim and Nick.  We arrived 45 minutes late to dock, again giving you more opportunity. 
Yes, deckhands fish in the rain to try and help customers catch more fish, like when your son caught that Bonita.  I also provide rain suits for all guest whom wish to fish in the rain. 
I had to run a little further than usual to provide more fishing time for you and your family, ahead of the uncontrollable approaching rain.
I did not appreciate the fact that your husband used explicit language to my deckhand, behind my back describing the captain that returned you and your family safe to the dock in some adverse weather.  I got the feeling your intentions of paying for the trip were not in my best interest, with your quick exit strategy.  Your tip to my deckhand, whom worked very hard for you and your family was very weak.
I am glad I was able to offer you a nice cool AC cabin as well during your trip.  Again I apologize that our expectations were so very different.  If you want a lot of fish I would recommend a longer than four hour trip.

I apologize that your expectations weren’t met. I knew catching live bait was going to be nearly impossible, following the passing of tropical storm Cindy the day before. With this in mind, I purchased a 40 lb box of frozen Boston mackerel for back up. We did not use nearly half of this bait, so sharing bait with another captain was not an issue as we gave them less than half of that box. Fishing the first day back on the water following a tropical storm on the gulf is always tough. However, if you felt that I was driving in circles, It would be because I was trying to locate fish for you to catch on a prime fishing location. Being an avid fisherman, I do not seek to waste time fishing in spots that are not productive. If you had made me aware of any issues you had during this trip, I would have made every effort to resolve them at that time.

Charles, I do apologize for my absence.  However, sometimes I do have to have a day off.  We often run everyday within the summer months and it can be exhausting.
We would be happy to take you bottom fishing, however we do not bottom fish on our minimum 4 hr. Charters.
We offer bottom fishing, with 6 hr.  or longer charters.
I will make sure this is clarified on posted on this site.
