Lucky Star is definitely highly recommended for anyone looking for some good fishing out of Aruba, especially for bottom fishing and any other options. Though the boat can become crowded for a party larger than four or five people, it will not get in the way of some positive fishing and also positive hospitality out its crew as well as perfect timing for any specific hour of the day that someone wants to go for fishing, be it the morning (6-10), afternoon, (10-2), or even some night fishing (2-6/6-12).... The captain and mate were on time, very educational and patient. Coming from Florida and Ohio, we wanted the full experience and we got it! We learned about the fish, the island, the culture and relaxed while we soaked in the views. We caught a 50 lb wahoo and they cleaned our catch before we took it to the resort to eat for dinner! Real deal fishing with true locals who appreciate their homeland.

Gregory & Gary took me out to their spot by 6AM - after a few tips to maneuver the rocky bottom, we were catching fish.  They were hustling to keep bait fresh and lines in the water.  Few grouper, more yellow tail snapper than I could count (& a bunch of little grunts too ) - but a great morning out.

I’ve fished every continent and this fishing experience was a little different. We didn’t bait the hooks or cast out. We reeled in when a bite happened. I’m more of a hands on fisherman. I enjoyed the captain and first mate. I got a little sea sick, but they were entertaining and it made the day go by better. I would recommend this again, but this is the most I have ever paid for deep sea fishing. It was nice it was a private tour. All in all I enjoyed myself. We caught 7 Atlantic Bonito

Captain & crew are all about making sure you are having fun & trying their best to make sure you catch some fish. They’re very honest when it comes to which trip to take it doesn’t matter deep sea or bottom fishing they’ll let you know if they think the trip will suit your families needs best & get you the best day out fishing. We had a great time!
