We booked two trips with Captain Luis and First Mate Hector, and they were the highlight of our time in Belize!! On our deep sea fishing day, we caught a wahoo (the best fish I’ve ever tasted), tons of tuna, and multiple barracuda!! Luis and Hector knew exactly where to take us and kept us on the fish all day!! The next day, we did a reef fishing, snorkeling, and beach BBQ trip, which was just as amazing. We caught a grouper, which is my favorite fish, along with so many other reef fish.... More

We had an absolutely incredible day on the water with Luis and Hector. These guys truly know how to fish — constantly adjusting tactics and locations to keep things productive, all while sharing fascinating information about the area. We caught plenty of big barracuda and bonito, and even hooked what was likely a wahoo until a shark claimed it first! You could tell from start to finish that they were giving it everything they had, and we appreciated their effort and energy the whole 10 hours.... More

We fished two days with Capitan Luis.  One day reef fishing, caught lots of fish.  Capitan Luis filleted the fish at the dock and the resort prepared them for dinner… Excellent! Day two was off shore, a little slower but did catch some barracuda.  Luis and Hector were great to fish with on both days! I will fish with them again when I return to Belize.

Luis and hector really put in the effort to land this fish, that I’ve always dreamed about catching. He let me know early that the ocean was too rough to go out and was accommodating to wait out the conditions and go later. Between big waves and a lot of seaweed they were constantly on top of everything keeping lines clear and fishing while being incredible hosts!

We had a great day on the water with Captain Luis and Hector. We didn’t catch a lot of fish, but we still caught enough for lunch. Luis and Hector worked hard and tried a few different spots, but the fish just weren’t biting on the day we went. They are very knowledgeable and we enjoyed their company. Lunch was amazing, Hector made the best ceviche we had on the whole trip. We went snorkeling and seen some amazing fish, sharks, sting rays and a couple eel.
