There’s a reason Captain Stephen is so highly rated. His innate ability to read the elements and consistently find the fish is truly unmatched. Despite splitting a major storm cell at sea, he skillfully navigated us into a serene stretch of clear skies and calm waters. In just a couple of hours, we were limited out on red snapper, then enjoyed the rest of the trip trolling for mackerel. He delivered non-stop excitement and great catch success—highly recommend without hesitation. You won’t be disappointed.

Let me start out by saying how much fun our 6 hr. trip was for the 6 of us. I’m a 70 year old retired ort truck driver and never ocean fished
I spent 4 days looking for a 30 ft. boat, fast boat, keep or release and 3 day cancelation. That’s how I found Black Flag Company thru Fishing Booker.
First stop Captain Steve didn’t like it.
2nd stop we wore out 1st mate Wess unhooking our fish.
We caught so many Vermillion Snapers we threw back the small ones that we caught after getting close to limit.
We got our limit in no time and mover to our 3rd stop for gigging.
Caught some big fish but couldn’t keep them. My brother inlaw must of had Bobby dick, he fought with it for a while and the line broke. [ you all know—- the big one that got away lol ]
Captain Steve is a very personal able man, you can talk to him anytime with questions and he has some great stories to tell.
Captain Steve and Wess fileted our catch in no time.

We booked two offshore trips, one for Monday 8/19 (with a different charter) and one for Thursday 8/22 with Black Flag. Monday came around and the charter text me (9:00am) saying the trip had to be canceled due to issues with the boat. Now keep in mind that we drove from Northeast Tennessee to fish. Wondering what to do I thought I would call captain Steve at Blach Flag to see if he had an opening. He fixed us up, for Monday afternoon and we caught our limit in about 50 minutes of fishing, had a blast. Went out again with captain Steve on Thursday caught our limit in less than 15 minutes (captain said that was record time for the year) and then had the rest of the day to fish other places for the “V” snapper, caught about 25 of those bad boys. We are coming back, and Black Flag is the only boat we will be on. Thanks again captain Steve and Logan for a great fishing trip!!!!!

only reason to score them five stars is because ten isnt an option, captain Steve and Logan gave quick expectations brief before we left the doc and before we set first hooks in the water, very attentive with bait and removing fish. When a spot slowed or didn’t produce right away Steve would relocate us. We asked for a combo of some big fish for the fight and some to eat and they nailed it, biggest red snapper right at 26lb, Amberjacks (not in season so couldn’t keep) in the 15-25lb range and a large pile of great eaters to clean at the end of the day. Thanks again guys, my group will 100% be back to see you.

Great trip with our family, caught fishing the entire 6 hour trip, one 31 lbs Red Snapper, 1 50 lbs. Amberjack and hooked a Shark and fought it for an hour. Limited on Red Snapper also Recommend this trip to everyone. Captain Stephen and first mate Gatlin were great.
