Around here it's common to catch Mahi Mahi, Snook, Amberjack, Wahoo, Sail, Mackerel, Tuna, Grouper, Snapper, Jacks and many more if conditions are right.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. We also love throwing live bait and lures. With twin Mercury 300 HP Verado's running to a fishing spot is quick and easy and will keep you fishing. There is plenty of power to run to a new location and find the bite.
You'll be fishing aboard a beautiful 28' Caymas 281HB Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. This Caymas 281HB is even rigged with a Flir M-364C Thermal Camera, along with Simrad Halo 3004 Radar with open array to help find the birds and bait. For even more comfortability the boat is covered in gorgeous SeaDek.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you as well as a coolers of ice for your beverages. We went fishing last week with guides Trentin and Dalton and had a fantastic time. Trip included myself, my wife, my 14 year old daughter and 11 year old son. Both guides were incredibly knowledgeable, excellent teachers with great patience with us amateurs and most importantly they know how to find the fish! We went 3-4 miles out and were quickly reeling in yellow fin after yellow fin! I can't say enough about the personalities of our two guides. We loved learning about them and hearing their passion for guiding. We were also fortunate enough to meet Nick the owner who was beyond gracious and inviting. Great guy to chat with! Lastly, I highly recommend arriving early or staying after and hanging out at the boat dock (private club) that comes with the booking. There was a beautiful back area where the boats dock surrounded by mangroves. We saw manatees, nurse sharks and other interesting fish. The place has a shady pool and a bar!!! We will absolutely be back next chance we get. Do yourself a favor and book Salty Bowline today!!! Best money you will spend in the Keys! Grant and family
We have done quite a few fishing charters, but our time with Salty Bowline was probably one of the best we have ever done. The Caymas they run is absolutely beautiful and top of the line. We were in comfort the entire time even in some wind and chop! Trent was our Captain joined by Jackson and they were such great guys! We loved there spirit and personalities so much! They busted their butts for us getting us on bait to use for the day and always getting us on fish at almost every spot we visited! Jackson kept our lines baited and great conversation going as well! We are already planning another trip for maybe summer or fall back to Islamorada just to fish with these guys! Thank you all for the wonderful time and we can't wait to come back again!
this was an amazing trip captain trentin was super amazing helping us get all the fish in always giving us the rod very polite guy young local with much desire and passion for what he does to the first mate dalton you are also amazing hopefully soon you can be a captain and run your own boat soon. We really enjoyed this trip would come back 100% highley recommend salty bowline to others these guys are amazing.
Trent and Dalton are fantastic. I brought my two teenage daughters out for their first Tarpon trip and had a blast. We caught fish most importantly, but Trent is great and very patient with young anglers. Dalton expertly put the boat in and out of gear, lol. We will definitely be back. Trent also offers the opportunity to book a night trip and half day back to back to fish overnight which would have been fun to do had we known it was available but it's just not apparent on Fishing Booker. Thanks fellas and I highly recommend!
Five of friends including me fished with Trent Leary, Captain of the boat. We caught fish and had them prepared at two different restaurants for our dinner. The restaurants were recommended by our Captain. Trent is very knowledgeable of the area, we were confident on his decisions and recommendations. His boat was clean, the equipment was as in perfect order and his attitude was always in our best interest. My friends and I highly recommend Trent as a Captain and a fishing guide. We will fish with Trent again in the near future.
