On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. We also love throwing live bait and lures. With twin Mercury 300 HP Verado's running to a fishing spot is quick and easy and will keep you fishing. There is plenty of power to run to a new location and find the bite.
You'll be fishing aboard a beautiful 28' Caymas 281HB Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. This Caymas 281HB is even rigged with a Flir M-364C Thermal Camera, along with Simrad Halo 3004 Radar with open array to help find the birds and bait. For even more comfortability the boat is covered in gorgeous SeaDek.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you as well as a coolers of ice for your beverages. Went on a birthday fishing trip with my 14 yr old son. His request was for Mahi and Dalton with Salty Bowline delivered. Found three different bird sets within an hour from the dock and limited out! Boat was ready and tackle was already set up ready to go. As soon as we found the first bird set, Dalton went to action. Ive been on some charters before and the guide did all but put the fish in the fish box. As part of the birthday experience for my son, my son casted, reeled, gaffed, and loaded the fish box. Thank you Dalton and Salty Bowline for a great Birthday trip for my son. We will be back and highly recommend.
This trip was my son's graduation present and the addition of the fishing charter was icing on the cake. He brought two of his best buddies down for the trip and Salty Bowline made it excellent. They were personable knowledgeable funny engaging I could go on and on. It is a definite rebook whenever we make it to the keys the next time and I believe if it's up to my son that'll be sooner than later. You may have your next first mate/Captain in the making.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we booked with Salty Bowline Charters, the customer service was outstanding. We had a scheduling mix-up, and the owner went above and beyond to make everything right. That level of customer care alone impressed us, but the fishing trip itself exceeded every expectation. Captain Trentin and first mate Jack were phenomenal. They worked incredibly hard all afternoon to make sure my son and I had the best possible experience. Our adventure started with an unforgettable surprise a school of dolphins swimming alongside the boat! It was the perfect way to begin the trip. Not long after, Captain Trentin found a school of giant jack crevalle, and we caught 10 fish over 30 inches! They put up an unbelievable fight and had us smiling from ear to ear. Then my son caught a Bonita, which we used as bait…and that’s when the trip turned into something we’ll be talking about for the rest of our lives. We hooked into a huge bull shark! It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This wasn’t just a fishing charter it was one of the best memories my son and I have ever shared together. We went fishing last week with guides Trentin and Dalton and had a fantastic time. Trip included myself, my wife, my 14 year old daughter and 11 year old son. Both guides were incredibly knowledgeable, excellent teachers with great patience with us amateurs and most importantly they know how to find the fish! We went 3-4 miles out and were quickly reeling in yellow fin after yellow fin! I can't say enough about the personalities of our two guides. We loved learning about them and hearing their passion for guiding. We were also fortunate enough to meet Nick the owner who was beyond gracious and inviting. Great guy to chat with! Lastly, I highly recommend arriving early or staying after and hanging out at the boat dock (private club) that comes with the booking. There was a beautiful back area where the boats dock surrounded by mangroves. We saw manatees, nurse sharks and other interesting fish. The place has a shady pool and a bar!!! We will absolutely be back next chance we get. Do yourself a favor and book Salty Bowline today!!! Best money you will spend in the Keys! Grant and family
New life highlight. Took my niece and nephew out for a late-night fish and we had a blast. Caught some awesome fish — a hammerhead, mutton snapper and a monster of a grouper, among others. The boat ride alone is worth the trip, especially as the sun starts to set. Trentin mans the boat like a pro, and he and his second mate Dalton were great with my nephew (the fisher among us). 10-10 recommend.
