No real bites of our targeted species unfortunately, but that’s the nature of the game. I still had a great day being surrounded by the beautiful beach and landscapes. Beats the office any day. Joao was knowledgeable and passionate about fishing and helped me several times when my line got caught, he also scavenged for the right bait to use. Truely a unique experience while visiting Portugal and I am really glad I came to Tavira. I will have to come back to try spear fishing with him one day!

Returning to João for a second trip and it was fun! I have never spearfished before in my life so this was a new experience. Unfortunately the conditions were rough so didn’t manage to catch fish, but it was always a good time with this man! In general, the trip should be very promising weather permitting and I look forward to coming back again.

Had a great night with the captain, very friendly and down to the earth guy, funny to be with and has very good local knowledge. I recommend!

It was an awesome day. Capt. Joao is very knowledgeable and taught me everything I needed to know. Very nice and easy going. I can see why he books up!!
