Wow, this lady is lying and a terrible client. We left on time as I always do.  I addressed all the lies below but let me say this.  I have 71-5 star reviews and 3-1 star reviews.  1 of the reviews didn’t even fish with me, I was hospitalized for an injury and caught MRSA while in the hospital.  The other 1 star didn’t like my boat because it was diesel even though we caught several fish. And this lady….
LIE-We didn’t spend 20 min getting bait but getting fuel, the bait boat delivered bait while I was fuelling and I stayed out for an extra hour for free even though I had another charter that day and it meant going without a break. I am double booked everyday and have to get fuel every other day.  I fish from 7am-7pm 7 days a week.
LIE-I didn’t spend an hour putting hooks on, but I probably spent over an hour fixing the rods because they didn’t listen to anything that I said and kept tangling the line.  I must have told them 25 times the right way to hold a rod but she would just say, “I know how” but she didn’t and kept making the same mistakes and tangling the line.
LIE-I never stopped fishing or driving the boat to talk to other Captains.  2 Captains pulled up next to me while fishing or driving in the no wake zone and we exchanged info on where the fish were. 1 Captain called me on the phone while we were fishing to share info regarding what he was catching.  All 3 conversations combined didn’t last 5 min. I thought a client would be glad that I have such extensive resourses to find fish when the bite was slow for everyone.
LIE-It wasn’t that I wouldn’t let them cast the line, they were not casting rods and had a lead with a 15’ leader making it impossible to cast.  We were also fishing 5 rods with 5 different techniques and the rods had to be set in a certain order and way to keep from tangling.
LIE-Deep Sea fishing is 250’ in Miami.  You can catch every top game species in Miami except for a Swordfish or Golden Tile fish in 250’ of water.
We caught small fish and the bite was terribly slow so we had to move around to find the fish.
LIE-She doesn’t know anyone in the local Miami area, she knows 1 Captain in Islamorada where the fishing is very different as I explained to her several times.  Anyone who has fished with me knows that I explain everything that I am doing and I patiently teach all my clients.  The reason I said no so much was because the kep asking to put lines in the water when it would have tangled the other lines, as I explained over and over to her.
LIE-We didn’t spend the whole trip running around.  We spent 45 min getting out and 45 min getting in because we ran to a spot that was 5 miles up the beach to find fish.  This is the same time I spend on every trip, everyday, it is afterall, Deep Sea fishing and it takes time to get out 3 miles to 250-300’ of water.
Then she wanted to catch a big fish, so I took them to catch a big fish and we hooked one in 2 min but a shark ate it.  I put another bait down and then they wanted to do something else, even though I told them this was the way to catch a big fish.  These were the worst, most unappreciative clients that I have ever had.  Don’t let these people book your boat.

Wow, we worked our butts off, finally got some bites but couldn’t get them out of the ship wreck. We even stayed out longer for free but whatever, some people are fishermen and realize that it’s called fishing, not catching. Rating a Captain on his 9th strike out in over 270 trips this year is messed up but I guess this client is 100% perfect everyday of the year.  He should try fishing for a living….

Also there were set to pay double without knowing and i told them that i wouldn’t over charge them and made sure that they didn’t over pay…i guess i shouldn’t give extra time to guests because they will repay you with a bad review.
