- Background
- I’ve been fishing since the age of 10. When my parents moved to the Jersey Shore, we started fishing as a family. From then on, it was a part of my life. I spent my summers crabbing and fishing two blocks from home. In high school, I became friends with another kid that loved fishing – decades later, we still fish together! About 8 years ago, I bought the “Wee Cat” and I decided to get my captain’s license. Taking people out is always exciting and I’ve met THE BEST around. Sharing my love for boating, nature, and fishing is so much fun. Having many customers come back year after year, had turned strangers into friends. It also has created some great memories and brought back some, like the time one older lady began to cry because she was suddenly brought back in time to when her father took her out as a little girl. He father had passed, but she never forgot the time they spent fishing on a boat together.
- Techniques
- Fish react differently and hunt differently; therefore, I troll, drift, snag, and drop, anchor and toss lures. It’s one reason charters should hone their skills whenever they can. The more you practice and learn, the more fish you catch.
