SEPTEMBER: So far, so good!! September is a terriffic month to fish with the young family. Less boat traffic, nice weather and a great bite that keeps kids smiling. I offer these short trips as inexpensive first-time experiences. So far, they’ve been fun and just long enough for everyone to decide if saltwater boat fishing is their thing. Pictures say it all. ?????

GREAT BITE!!! First, warm 76 degree water has seemingly pushed most flounder out to sea. ☹️ Black Sea Bass have taken their place, with a vengeance. We went out into a flat beautiful ocean and Croakers were biting strong. I’m not sure how long this will last, but end of Summer and early Fall fishing is incredible. ???

Warm water with a great bite! How long will it continue? We even had several exotic Grey Triggerfish biting our Gulp, today. (Edit: The Triggerfish meat is solid white and frys up with a fantastic non-fishy taste! It’s SO TASTY, I’ll start targeting them.) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Flounder, Sea Bass & Doubles Galore

Off the charts bite, this morning! We caught Flounder, Black Sea Bass, Croakers and Dogfish. Sometimes, we caught doubles and multiple hookups at same time! After a few quieter days last week, this was a welcome change. Water was 68, low wind, drift speed ranged from .75 to 2.25 mph, started with heavy, low fog that ended quickly with full sun. With this group, we had a blast!! No long trip to a reef, and we bent rods for less money and just 15 minutes after leaving dock. (Actually, we caught the first two fish 1 minute from dock.?)
