⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you, Santo!!!!
During the month of March (in Jersey’s small rivers), Striped Bass are not easily caught on lures. Bass are lethargic in 40 degree water, so retrieval technique and lure choice makes all the difference. Most fishers cast out bloodworms. (That ‘s not huge skills challenge, though.) Today, after receiving instructions, Cameron listened well and caught a bunch of 20”ers. His dad also listened, but must of eaten a banana or cast where the fish weren’t. I saw very accurate casts from Santo; lures landed right at the edges. No matter, because like every good Dad, you just want to see your son have fun. Then afterwards, you bust chops and tease, right? Then, you make bets for the next trip! 🏆💵 😁

As I unloaded the boat, I couldn’t help but think this father-son trip was excellent: a fishy-cloudy day, some mist, a proud bald eagle, peacocks, boat glided across glassy water, some fish, lots of casting (not one snag) and great conversation. I also appreciate your being flexible since our scheduled day was forecasted to be very windy with rain (Ernesto). On our trip, the best fishing was near 4 foot breakers 😳.  (Those fish sure know how to help avoid being caught!) It was rough, but both of you ate it up!
