We had a great time on the boat with Captain Johnathan. Boat and equipment were great. Captain Johnathan was very knowledgeable and plenty of action from the bass. Even a personal best largemouth of 5 pounds for one of the guys on the boat. Would definitely do it again. Thanks Captain Johnathan!

Capt. Jonathan Moss was my guide during a disabled veteran fly-fishing tournament. I had a blast! He worked hard to ensure I caught fish, but most importantly, that I had a great time. Additionally, he shared his fly-fishing knowledge and provided me with lots of tips. He is very energetic, and his passion for fishing while protecting and respecting conservation efforts are noticeable. Not only he is a great fishing guide, he is an overall great person.

I found myself in Orlando for business and had a free day. I searched for flats fishing; snook and redfish were still on my list, the Tarpon draw was there too. I read about 20 reviews of area guides. I kept coming back to Captain Jonathan. I am female and was fishing alone. Picking a guide who I could trust, who would respect my abilities and coach me through my deficiencies was a priority. Don’t get me wrong, having fun was also a priority. Captain Jonathan was very communicative and responsive about scheduling and directing me to his boat. His boat was spotless (very important for me) and his equipment was top notch. The conversation was easy, fun and extremely energetic. Captain Jonathan was as excited as I was and I know I mentioned this previously, his coaching was excellent. He was honest, he said snook were hard to find, I didn’t mind, the surroundings, the water, the sunrise were spectacular. Once I got the cobwebs out of my casting (thanks for your patience Jonathan) I had many opportunities for redfish, I blew it, Jonathan put me in the right place I couldn’t land the fish. He offered an easier way (bait), I wanted to get better so he encouraged me and we stuck to lures. Then we targeted Tarpon, a species I caught previously but who doesn’t love Tarpon fishing. Shortly after I was directed to “cast toward the mangroves” I caught my first snook. With my heart racing Jonathan was as happy for me as I was. High fives, hugs then a respectful and patient release. Jonathan is very respectful to the fish and the fishing area which makes me like him even more. He cared about my wishes to quickly and safely return the snook so he could fight another day.  I can’t wait to fish with Jonathan again, I intend on traveling to the Orlando area just to book with him, that is if he’s available. You should book with this guy now because I have a feeling he’s going to get really busy and sought after, he’s that good!

High my name is Kent,i meet Capt. Moss at the ramp at Haulover Canal May 7at 6am introduced myself and knew right then that this was going to be a great day on the water.We headed out to spot in the mosquito lagoon and arrived around 6:20 am,set myself on the casting platform and hunting for reds.It took about 15 maybe 20 minutes before I got the magical thud of a redfish on the other end of the line ,got the fish to the boat got her out of the water didn’t measure but if I had to guess at least 33” that was one of three all about the same size 33-35” by now it was only8:15 am,i was also able to land some smaller slot size trout by now it was9:00 am.Capt.Moss took me another spot where we eventually located some juvenile poon all round the everywhere you looked nothing but poon even with both of us casting swimsuits and small spoons we were just not able to make them chew.Never the less would not have any problem booking another trip had a fantastic day of fishing look forward to doing it again PS. If you don’t book a day with Capt.Moss you don’t know what you are missing,he will put you on fish garrenteed

I had a quick business trip to the Orlando area and asked a good friend of mine from Florida who I should try and squeeze a quick trip in with. Jonathan was his immediate response. We sent some quick messages and a trip was planned. He went far above and beyond for our trip grabbing me from airport when I landed to dropping me off at hotel. Beyond the above and beyond door to door service we had a great time on the water. I’m a fairly seasoned fly fisherman from Texas so I haven’t had too many shots (if any) at tarpon and snook. He was able to get me on my first 2 tarpon and we managed a good snook too. I’m looking forward to getting back to the area and seeing what else we can target.
