Background
Capt. Daniel Vine is your guide to an unforgettable fishing adventure in the waters on all of Lake Powell. Born and raised in the city of Page, Arizona, you will have my lifelong experience to put you on fish. Whether you are a first timer or competitive angler, we will give you a chance to catch mainly Striped Bass but also give you opportunities to catch Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass upon request. In my free time, I do fish tournaments competitively. These tournaments can be right here on my local waters of Lake Powell or I have been as far as Northern California to Louisiana to fish tournaments on a National level.
Techniques
When fishing for striper, my favorite style of fishing is lighter spinning tackle with a 1/4oz jighead using frozen cut up anchovy. Just seems to work year round! Brings me back to the days when I was a young buck where my dad and I would sit on the end of a dock waiting for a fish to bite. I also love chasing Largemouth and Smallmouth bass with artificial lures. Adds a challenge to the fishing by having to be able to very accurate with where you cast your bait and also be able to feel the difference if you hit a rock with your bait or a fish bit you.
