Capt. JT had some cancellations so called me early and asked if we wanted to go ahead and go. So glad we did. He put us on fish within 30 min. And we stayed on them all day. Daughter was extremely happy. She was also tired when we got home from all the action. Will def. return to Dawn Patrol.

Had an amazing time on the kids fun trip!  Captain JT took me and my 2 sons aged 8 and 12 out for a 3 hour trip and they had a blast catching red fish, Kobia and grouper.  It was the first time they had been on a fishing trip out in the gulf.  The trip was just perfect for them.  Thanks again for a great time!

First, let me just say we had Philip on our Kids Fun fishing trip and he was so great with the kids.  He was engaging with them and always made sure everyone was okay.  I wish I could give 5 stars because the captain and crew were super nice but I am still really bummed we only caught 1 fish the entire trip.  I am really torn on whether we would return to give Dawn Patrol another try.  We splurged on this fishing trip in hopes of having my kids reel in a handful of fish and came up short. Thankfully, at least my son was able to reel in ONE fish. The captain changed the departure time on us with less than 12 hours notice. It would have been nice if the communication lines were clearer.  It just stung a little after all the trouble we went through to only catch 1 fish.  When we returned to the dock, the captain even said he thought the water was getting too choppy and figured we wouldn’t catch anything.

This was our first trip to Destin and first time experiencing salt water fishing. My teenage son and I had a great time with captain J.T.  We had some bad weather the day we planned on fishing.
J.T. Tried to get some fishing in for us. We were out about an hour and caught a few fish! A bad storm was coming in and I felt like he knew how to read the weather conditions and kept us safe for the time that we could be out on the water.  J.T. Got back with us later that day with plans on completing our fishing trip the following morning. Day 2 on the boat proved to be even better! He took us to a great location for seeing things such as a shark, Dolphins, and stingrays, and we were able to hook a Redfish! So exciting for all of us! Fishing on DAWN PATROL CHARTERS was the highlight of our vacation. So worth the 13 hour drive to get here!
