We are from Cincinnati visiting the Destin area. Captain JT took us out yesterday for a morning of fishing. We were out for only 20 minutes and we hit on 2 nice King Mackerals! We ended up with 4 Kings, 2 Bonitos, and 2 Spanish Mackerals. JT is a cool guy that was a pleasure to chat with. He was constantly communicating with other boats to see where the fish were biting. I recommend the Dawn Patrol for a nice morning of light tackle, offshore fishing!

We’ve been fishing with Dawn Patrol and Captain J.T. Tenore for over a decade. Always an extreme pleasure, trips with J.T. never fail to please and leave me COMPLETELY satisfied every time. I’ve taken friends and family on numerous trips with him over the years, and every time we come back with new, incredible stories (and fish). From the 125-lb tarpon my 13-year-old son caught a few years back to limiting on trigger, pompano, snapper, to throwing back three times as many as we’ve caught, to catching (and eating) the biggest, fattest grouper I’ve ever seen-every year is a complete blast. This year, my 23-year-old daughter (all 5’2”, 100 pounds of her) repeatedly hauled in the biggest snapper on the boat.

My adult children always ask me, as soon as we start planning our beach trip, if I’ve called and made a reservation with J.T. I’ve now gotten to the point of making an extra trip late summer for a long weekend just for fishing. My friends that I’ve taken along are completely impressed with J.T.‘s skill and professionalism. I have to say, as well, that it seems as though he has every bit as much fun as we do.

Obviously, I can’t find enough superlatives to convey just how highly I think of Captain J.T and Dawn Patrol. I’ll simply say a trip with him is guaranteed to be truly fun and thoroughly satisfying. Happy Fishing!!

We booked based on his previous reviews and were beyond pleased. By far the best fishing experience our family has ever had. We did a near shore trip and had a blast. Captain J.T. Was awesome and was very good with the kids as well. We will definitely book with him again!

I planned this fishing trip for my son and his friends for his birthday.  I talked personally to the captain.  I told him that we wanted deep sea fishing and not bay fishing.  He said that bay fishing hasn’t been good.  It wasn’t bad weather.  He said it was going to be around 3 knots of wind.  For what ever reason other than weather he wouldn’t go out deep sea.  The guys were disappointed.  He didn’t take them deep sea.  They did bay fishing and caught NOTHING.  $800 for nothing.  Won’t use Dawn Patrol Charters again.  Will go back to the other charter that we used.  Cost a bit more.  But delivered on what we paid for.
