Xavier was tour/fishing guide. He is down-to-earth, answered a ton of questions my kids were asking, very knowledgeable and kind. We had a blast catching crappie, bass and a few needle fish that seemed to get away. We were able to see a few gators that were chilling. He cleaned and fileted the fish for us which we just had for lunch. I highly recommend using his as your fish guide.

The captain knew what he was doing, the boat was great equipment was top-of-the-line, bait was live, saw the Tarpon but they just weren’t hungry. Always a good day to be on the water.

Excellent day on the water. Went the extra mile to make sure my son was able to catch his dream snook. Very knowledgeable, clean boat and puts you on the fish.  We will be back!

My wife and I had an awesome day with Captain Xavier. Nice, clean, reliable boat. We both caught our personal best of snook and jack crevalle (some of the biggest fish we’ve ever seen).

I had a great time fishing with Close Encounters charter. Xavier really new what he was doing and put me on the fish everytime. Ended up catching three new species of fish to add to my list. The gear and bait provided landed nothing but lunkers all day. I can’t wait to get back and fish anouther round with Close Encounters again.
