- I have fished in the Carolina Beach area my whole life. I think the first memory I have of fishing I was around 5 years old. I started fishing on my own boat 20 years ago. Fishing is my passion. I’ve been told that I would rather fish than breathe – quite a few times! I like nearshore fishing best. We catch a lot of Flounder and Trout in the summer months through the fall and in the winter. We catch a lot of big bull Reds in the fall. And we target Red Drum and Speckled Trout from fall through the winter, with an occasional Flounder or two in the winter months. We fish live bait and artificial baits year-round.
