I went out with the Smeper Fi crew and it was a fantastic experience all around. They were very knowledgeable and helpful, and clearly know all of the spots and the right times to be there. We got some beautiful hogfish that made delicious tacos that night, and overall had an awesome time out with them. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to fish in the Gulf, and I will certainly be going back to them this summer.

We did a full day charter with captain Travis.  First rate, the boat, the equipment and the FISH!  He put us right on a spot and we kept catching until we got tired and ate lunch. Then we did it again.  Technology has changed and he has a trolling motor that acts as an anchor, huge time savor, no trying to anchor on a spot.  We came home with tired arms and a freezer full of grouper and snapper.  What a great day!

Never booked a fishing trip before—don’t know about y’all, but I want a captain that is cool as a cucumber—Capt Travis Hise put me at ease right away—started with great communication by email about what to bring and what to expect—then, out on the great Gulf of America, I was actually able to relax!! CHILLAX is more Like it—even slept for a bit between bites. So fun and magical—coming back next year, for sure!

We had an incredible experience with Captain Trav and his crew! As total beginners and a bit nervous, we couldn’t have asked for a better team—they were patient, fun, and made us feel like seasoned pros by the end of the trip. We caught mangrove snapper and some red grouper, it was so cool! We had an absolute blast and will definitely be booking again the next time we’re in St. Pete!

Fantastic time from start to finish. Capt Travis is experienced and personable. Put us right on the fish and had a blast while getting there. Very patient and helpful to a novice like me. Can’t wait to go again and I highly recommend.
