Terrible experience. Lets start at the beginning:

1. Says the trip starts at 7:00am, not true- Erika showed up to meet us at 7:20 am and QUICKLY asked if we are paying cash or card. Proceeded to ask for the money PRIOR to even boarding the boat (red flag, I know)
So once we finally get to the boat and started leaving the marina it is now 8:20am (1.5 hours wasted so far)

2. I let the crew set up the trolling lures and usually when deep sea fishing, if something is not working you change it and put different colour lures or different kinds of bait. Nope, they just set it up and trolled the exact same lures for 3 hours!!! While the crew laughed and relaxed we were wondering why they are not working for us since we paid $900+USD. So I asked for them to change the set up and while they reluctantly did, and also I had to tell them to put a teaser bait out. Why should the customer have to ask this? I shouldn’t.

3. The fishing equipment looked like it had never been maintained, cleaned or replaced. All the lures were beat up, not clear or colourful, just overall bad condition.

And as for the electronics, yes, those do not exist on this boat and instead the crew ensured me they know the fishing spots “by memory” unlikely since we’re 50 miles off shore.

4. The Captain is an arrogant old fat man that needs to realize he shouldn’t be calling his customers “stupid tourists” as we are the ones keeping you in business. I guess he didn’t realize I speak Spanish 😂

5. Save your money and find another charter that treats you with respect.

Captain and mate were honest that fishing was slow. we did get a mahi mahi and a yellow fin tuna. the guys were very accommodating and know what they are doing.
