Background: I’m a native to the fingerlakes and grew up fishing Cayuga lake and the surrounding fingerlakes. I enjoy targeting a wide range of cold water and warm water species including all species of trout and salmon, pike, muskie, and bass…basically anything that swims that’ll eat a fly. In more recent years I’ve aquired a strong affinity for sight fishing carp and freshwater drum in the summer months, which is arguably my favorite method of flyfishing. I am a firm believer of catch and release. Conservation is a top priority to me as I feel it is paramount to keeping our ecosystems healthy and thriving, however I’m not against keeping a fish for a fresh meal from time to time. I operate year round and although the winter months can be unpleasant the coldwater species are the most abundant and accesible on the fly. If you are a fair weather angler or dont mind bundling up in the cold I can tailor a fishing program that will be enganging and sure to leave you with a positive experience.
Techniques: As stated in my bio I am exlusively a flyfishing guide. My preffered method of fishing is summertime sight fishing and in the colder months, drifting shorelines in pursuit of trout, salmon and apex predators like muskie and pike.
